The Game is simply INSANELY QUIRKY! I'm upon my 22nd Death because Im not a boss with Depth Perception and its my first time playing the game. If I do it again; I'll definitely have less deaths. Definitely research before you play the game because some things wouldnt be straightforward. n.n Good Luck!
This has been on my wishlist for years and I finally picked it up for a few bucks in the most recent sale. I heard this described as similar to High on Life, and I have to say, that's a very unfair comparison. This game is much more interesting and fun to explore and has more of a Tim and Eric humor vs the low effort cringy Rick and Morty humor of High on Life. The platforming mechanics are great. It's a fun challenge without being frustrating and very rewarding to explore. The shooting mechanics left a bit to be desired, but I also don't normally play shooters with a controller, so I don't know how much of that is me or the game. It's also relatively a small part of the game. Journey To The Savage Planet was a blast and well worth the few bucks I spent on it and well worth 100% collecting everything. Very solid 8/10 experience.
Fun metroidvania-style exploration game, with a good sense of humour and even with a decent French voice-over made in Québec. It keep you engaged enough to complete your mission, and you can still continue the game once the main storyline is completed, for the completionists out there.
