Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.86/day in the week to Aug 26 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Great concept, id really love to get into this game. I've watched other people play it and it looks like fun but when i try to play it the controls do not make sense. I love the concept but the tutorial teaches me nothing and controls are janky. Buy at your own risk. I bought this in 2020 and its been sitting in my library for 5 years. I couldn't get the hang of it when i bought it and i just tried to play it recently and its a no go. Great concept but just not all there.
Loved this game, played it a ton pre-Gearbox and pre steam. picked up the remastered to support the fun I had with it. It can rot in hell now, not a chance will I put this spyware POS on my computer. Steam needs to step in and refund predatory practices, bought this game pre-EULA, total garbage company, always has been and always will be.
This is a game that my dad introduced to me young on CD, and a game that continued well into my late childhood. That is now all coming to a tragic close because Randy Cuckford and gearbox as a whole have decided to screw over any and all gaming communities with games associated with gearbox. ♥♥♥♥ you Bitchford. ♥♥♥♥ you
A true classic game remastered, absolutely nailed it.

spyware, bloody EULA
Homeworld Remastered Collection is a loving celebration of one of the PC’s most visionary real-time strategy franchises, bringing both Homeworld (1999) and Homeworld 2 (2003) into the modern era without ever losing their soul. From the moment your mothership detaches from its cradle, you’re greeted by fully overhauled ship models, high-definition planetary backdrops and a gorgeously remastered orchestral soundtrack that elevates the series’ epic space opera narrative. The slick new graphics engine supports resolutions up to 4K, and lighting effects—engine trails glinting against distant stars, turrets firing bursts of plasma—feel fresher than ever. Even with these visual upgrades, the game preserves the minimalist UI aesthetic and intuitive fleet controls that made the originals so groundbreaking. Underneath the polished veneer, the core gameplay remains as deep and rewarding as it was two decades ago. You still balance resource harvesting, tactical formation flying, and ship-class synergies across sprawling, multi-stage campaigns that demand both strategic foresight and split-second command decisions. Homeworld 2’s addition of specialized support units and new mission types really shines here, and both campaigns are bolstered by Steam achievements, cloud saves, and robust matchmaking for asynchronous skirmishes. The remaster also bundles the original “classic” builds, so purists can switch back with a single click. There are a few rough edges—occasionally you’ll encounter frame dips during massive fleet engagements, and some of the multiplayer community has lamented missing legacy mod support—but these quirks never overshadow the overall experience. Whether you’re rediscovering this genre-defining saga for the first time or indulging in pure nostalgia, Homeworld Remastered Collection succeeds brilliantly at preserving everything that made the originals timeless, while bringing them up to today’s technical standards. It’s easily one of the strongest remasters available, and a must-own for any fan of space-based strategy.
Homeworld was a fantastic, groundbreaking game that I loved as a young child, so coming back to a gorgeous, much more accessible version was truly a tremendous thing. Was it perfect? No, I can no longer hijack any fighters, the cutscenes have an inferior art style, but these are all very minor ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Sadly Cataclysm is not included (the only other Homeworld game I played prior to the remastered collection), but oh well. Visually this is very impressive, and it is a lot of fun to play as well, the campaign's story is warm, human and excellent. The second game (or rather Homeworld 2's remaster) is just as impressive visually, with much more musical oompf that occasionally just cut out and disappeared, so that wasn't neat. The campaign plays much worse mechanically, with an inferior fleet doctrine, the game ripping you out of missions as it pleases instead of letting you decide. Subsystems appear on large ships for more tactical depth, but most of the enemy come not from their ships, but through reinforcements off the map. The story was abject literary terrorism, and my senses have not yet recovered from how bad it was. Overall the HW1 remastered experience was pure excellence, and the HW2 remastered experience was mostly horrid, but none of that is the fault of the developers here, it's mostly decisions about the original HW2 that sank it for me.
