Halo Wars is probably one of the most underrated Halo games ever made. Taking Halo and turning it into an RTS sounds like something that shouldn't have worked anywhere near as well as it did, but somehow it just works. Building up your base, getting a massive army together and sending 20 Scorpions across the map to absolutely delete someone's base never gets old. The campaign is great as well. The story actually feels like Halo, the cutscenes are brilliant and the Spirit of Fire crew are genuinely some of my favourite characters in the entire series. And for an RTS that was made around playing on a controller, the controls are surprisingly good. Obviously its not perfect. The AI can sometimes have absolutely no idea what its doing, units get stuck on each other, pathfinding can be questionable and trying to get a specific group of units to go exactly where you want can turn into its own mission. It's also definitely simpler than a lot of other RTS games. If you've spent your entire life playing StarCraft you're probably not going to find Halo Wars particularly complicated. But honestly thats part of why I like it. You don't need a university degree in resource management just to understand what's happening. You build your base, make an army and go blow up the other bloke. Simple. The multiplayer was also some of the most fun I've had in a strategy game, especially when everyone stops pretending they're using tactics and just starts building the most ridiculous army possible. Halo Wars isn't the deepest RTS ever made. It isn't the most complicated. But its fun as ♥♥♥♥. Great campaign. Great soundtrack. Great atmosphere. And nothing will ever beat hearing: "ALL UNITS" for the 400th time.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 15: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Halo Wars is a simple, but fun rts! If you're a Halo nerd like me, you will definetly want to pick this up! I've been playing this game since it came out on the Xbox 360! It's really fun! Pros: -Great controller support -Mod support -No Xbox Live account necessary Cons: -No crossplay between the Xbox Store version I bought the Steam version of this game in order to disconnect myself from the Xbox Ecosystem.
this is probably my favourite real-time strategy game out there, the players i've come across aren't toxic and once you know the basics it can be very fun. if you get really bored you could get some mods to add more leaders but i think you'll only be able to play with friends i'm not too sure 9.8/10
great game lol shocked its 343
esta bien para empezar en los RTS , divertido y amable con el jugador, pero tiene muy poca profundidad, aunque la suficiente para dejarte satisfecho con su campaña
Halo Wars is goated. Its a shame more people didnt get into it. I legit dont even like RTS games but played halo wars 1 and 2 a ♥♥♥♥ ton on xbox.
It was behind for its time and hasn't aged well. The good one is Halo Wars 2 which unfortunately isn't available on Steam, because Team XBox hates you.
As good as I remember, and works well on steam deck, mouse and keyboard, didn’t try yet with controller
