Half-Life: Alyx is Valve’s VR return to the Half-Life series. It’s the story of an impossible fight against a vicious alien race known as the Combine, set between the events of Half-Life and Half-Life 2. Playing as Alyx Vance, you are humanity’s only chance for survival.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

amazing game, I am not even that far and I'm loving it, also that teleport feature is a live saver considering how stick drift is on my controller, highly recommend
At first, it didn't really feel like Half-Life, but as the pace picked up, it captured the feeling of the classic games. It has all the charm of the old Half-Life while adding an impressive amount of detail. I hope Half-Life 3 combines the atmosphere and charm of Half-Life 2 with the incredible level of detail from Alyx, while still bringing plenty of new surprises.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 16.29/day in the week to Sep 16 → 20.43/day in the week after.
Of the 7 markets with a position on both sides, 3 climbed and 4 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Honestly it was worth the money, despite the fact I got it for sale back in April. It's an amazing game and I hope this franchise continues with its story.
Amazing game
the best VR game there is
Its a good story and a great ending.
If you love the Half-Life series, then you need to play this game. It's great, but you will need to play the other games first since this isn't a simple prequel. It answers one of the biggest questions about the end of Half-Life 2: Episode Two, so thankfully we now know how Half-Life 3 is going to start. Besides that, Valve did it again with their usual leap in quality. Each game gets better and better, and the graphics are better than anyone could have possibly imagined, along with even the smallest details, such as the bottle physics. Another point I want to make is don't let the whole VR thing put you off. I played this with a mod that made it possible to play the game like any other shooter. I will warn you that the puzzles become a bit "eh" since they rely on VR hand movements, but they still work. Yes, there are some bugs and glitches, but it's still far better than spending a large amount of money to buy a VR headset.
A truly immersive game, beautifully crafted and loaded with tactical and weapon-selection/upgrade options. I have played it through five times now and still find new rewards and ammunition missed on previous runs. Can't wait for a sequel to come out!

I got the Half-Life demo from a CD taped to a magazine. As a big Duke Nukem 3d fan, I loved it. Played the absolute ♥♥♥♥ of that demo. I got the full version eventually when I coiuld afford it and still remember being tripped all the way out not being able to find the section from the demo in the full game. I also lied to my friend about being able to beat it. I used god mode, it was years later I discovered the pools on Xen actually heal you! Half-Life 2, the Episodes, Portal, The Orange Box. Oh man. Valve fanboy right here. Big time. I speed-run HL2 occasionally. It's probably still my all time favourite game. Of course I had to buy VR. Just for this game. Of course I had to buy a more powerful computer to run VR, just for this game. I don't regret a single cent spent and would buy it all again. Where is Half-Life 3!? Probably going to splash out and get the new steam VR headset when it comes out shortly. Maybe they'll release a new game to go with it...
