Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 17 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Search online for "classremapping tether fix for Aliens Colonial Marines" There's a typo in the game engine ini file, the word "tether" is spelled wrong. This one typo broke the AI's pathfinding. If you fix the typo, the game goes from being a 4/10 to a 9/10. It goes from being laughable to one of the best Alien FPS I've played. crazy how a single letter typo caused a game to get terrible reviews for like a decade.
Inside your games config file (Documents\My Games\Aliens Colonial Marines\PecanGame\Config\PecanEngine.ini) is the following line of code : ClassRemapping=PecanGame.PecanSeqAct_AttachXenoToTether -> PecanGame.PecanSeqAct_AttachPawnToTeather Im sure you'll notice the spelling mistake ClassRemapping=PecanGame.PecanSeqAct_AttachXenoToTether -> PecanGame.PecanSeqAct_AttachPawnToTether If you fix it to look like the above and then play the game, the difference is pretty crazy!

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

"My tracker is getting lit up here, you better get ready for this." Aliens: Colonial Marines is a first-person shooter developed by Gearbox Software and published by Sega. Story Aliens: Colonial Marines is set 17 weeks after the events of Aliens (1986) movie. Emergency message send out by Dwayne Hicks from the USS Sulaco orbiting around LV-426 moon reaches the USS Sephora. They send out a full battalion of Colonial Marines to investigate the ship. You play as Corporal Christopher Winter who discovers massive Xenomorph infestation and hostile mercenaries working for the Weyland-Yutani corporation inside Sulaco, turning a quick investigation into brutal fight for survival and answers. Gameplay It's a FPS so you can right off the bat figure out what it's all about. Make your way through linear chapters by completing objectives and shooting enemies in the face (or general vicinity of it) to progress further in the campaign, alone or with up to 3 other buddies! Colonial Marines is all about action, as at your disposal you have entire arsenal available right from the start- pistols serve as secondary weapon with unlimited ammo, but you will never use it as all the fancy toys in main two slots provide enough firepower to topple anything on your way. Utilize shotguns, rifles or sub-machine guns to clear out the area, with trusty grenades at your belt. Switch out weapon loadout on the go if you run out of ammo, or if you want to test them all out. Of course it couldn't be an Alien game without certain tools at your disposal. Find sentry turrets, flamethrowers and smartguns to extra firepower, while motion tracker will help you detect incoming threats (and collectibles!). Marines are protected by a health bar that is divided into segments, with each regenerating if depleted partially. Lost health can be restored thanks to med-packs, plus additional protection comes in form of armor pieces found all over the game. Have as many as possible, as enemies won't go easy on you! Take too many shots, claws to the face or acid baths to die and restart from last checkpoint. Unless you play in coop where your allies can save you if you are down, but they have limited time to do so! On your way across levels be on a lookout for collectibles. Search for audio logs, dog tags of fallen marines or even legendary weapons related to characters who appear in the films! Additionally game comes with challenges, set of tasks in 3 different categories that when completed grant rewards. Completing objectives and challenges, finding collectibles and just killing enemies grants you experience points. Collect enough to rank up your Marine, which in turn unlocks customization options for your loadout! Here you can change how weapon looks by adding new paintjob, alternate firemode or switch elements like magazine or scope. Playtime, replayability, other modes It took me 6 hours to complete the campaign for the first time. There are collectibles, challenges and coop aspect that do give game replayability. Outside of main campaign there is Multiplayer component with different gamemodes and scenarions but you won't get to play it anyway because it has zero players. Fortunately there is a Bug Hunt mode where you alone or with friends can complete objectives, earn cash and eliminate waves of enemies which is pretty decent. Impressions I have good news and bad news. Good news is: in my book, game is not as bad as people portrayed it. Far from being the worst thing I ever played. Bad news is...it's still not good enough to recommend. There are some positives in this one. Weapon loadout is genuinely solid and something that I liked right from the start. While not impressive in numbers, provides surprising variety of choices where everyone will find something to purge xenos with, especially as pretty much entire loadout is enjoyable to use. Some of these weapons were made from the scratch for the purpose of the game yet feel like they fit into the Alien franchise like a glove! On top of that we got simple yet solid customization to further tweak your favourite tools of mayham while additional heavy weaponery appears in few missions to spice things up. Collectibles (especially iconic weapons) were fun to gather, together with challenges and coop aspect providing good content and decent replayability as for such short, linear game. And a positive goes to Multiplayer, but that is kiiinda scrapping the barrel, because like I said in above section, lack of playerbase means you won't get to enjoy playing this well composed mode with fantastic customization of both Marines and Aliens, in terms of look and arsenal both sides use. But Bug Hunt mode is fun and can be played solo so that's nice. Rest however is...closer to actual reputation of the game. Right off the bat I can write something about AI: it's bad. Better than what was at release thanks to "code fix" but ultimately it feels like watching a circus show. Plenty of jumping around the ceiling, walls, different hops here and there only for xenos to end up right in front of your gunbarrel. It makes them feel like no threat and just meat to the cosmic slaughter. Mercenaries are the usual human grunts who take cover and sit around nicely or once in blue moon decide to charge you, nothing special. Due to very linear level design enemies don't have options to flank or properly ambush, ruining the experience as what you get is barebone corridor shootouts that are not enjoyable in the slightest. Because of these factors it's really hard to look at this as Alien game, I mean the only reason I was pulling out my tracker is to search for collectibles, I never had to worry about enemies behind me or anything which is not what you want to hear. Game is purely action, forgetting the horror part that people love about the franchise. Final bossfight was one of the worst experiences I had with boss fights...ever. Very pathetic, lacklusting type of bad. To enhance pain of last chapter, cliffhanger ending it provides made whole experience feel like a slap to the face that ends the very mediocre story with unlikable characters. I assume game is a bit better if you have friends whom you can roleplay as Marines but for single player such as myself, it was a shallow, boring experience that even when it had some tiny, small moments of goodness here and there ultimately is something I don't go back to with fond memories. Final words and conclusion This is a Complete Edition of ACM so you get all DLCs with this pack including Bug Hunt mode, additional maps, weapons and cosmetics. Attempt to fix AI won't solve bad level design, boring storyline or average voice acting. Even with decent arsenal of weapons and good Multiplayer, Colonial Marines is not something I can recommend. Honestly, this game is pretty mid, but I can't even hate it. 😂 The gameplay is nothing revolutionary, the AI sometimes looks like it needs a GPS to find the player, and the whole thing feels like it had way more potential than what we actually got. The story, however, genuinely had potential and kept me interested enough to finish it. I'm just sad they don't really make games like this anymore. Give me a slightly janky Alien game with questionable decisions over another generic live-service game any day. 7/10 — mid, but my kind of mid. 🗿
With Templar GFX's mod only. Look it up. Only way to play this game and saying that is a 8/10 with it. 3/10 without..
As you can probably see, I have played this game quite a bit and believe myself to be familiar enough with the base game, DLC, mods, and community to really give a review for those of you who may be considering this game in 2025 or later. First and foremost, the base game is pretty...bad. The guns are inaccurate, as in when you aim down the sites, you can literally see the bullets hitting AROUND your site, not on it. The AI is bad, the voice acting is bad, the dialogue is bad, the story is bad, just a dumpster-fire overall of a campaign. The campaign was so bad that I actually haven't played the 'Stasis Interrupted' DLC campaign because I'm not a masochist and didn't want to subject myself to anymore torture. The multiplayer is supposedly fun, or at least that's what I'm told as I have never been able to play a single online game since purchasing in 2018. And this is an utter crime as there are so many movie maps from locations in the franchise that are absolutely beautiful in their level design. There's even a "Processor" map of the hive where the Marines get ambushed in "Aliens". It is such an awesome and eerie feeling walking around and seeing all of the locations from that scene in the film. But unfortunately, the map is useless because it is only available in the dead multiplayer modes. There are several other movie maps like this (Nostromo from 'Alien'/Fury 161 from 'Alien 3') that are completely unplayable because of them being locked behind multiplayer game modes only. The only thing you can do on these maps is explore them in offline mode by yourself. Now, if there were one reason why you should consider purchasing this game, it would be for BUG HUNT. Without a doubt the best game mode and the only thing worth it in this game. Bug Hunt is the games "Horde" mode, like CoD Zombies, where you just fight waves of Aliens and survive for as long as you can. Oddly though, there are also Weyland-Yutani Mercenaries in this mode which is silly. Supposedly Gearbox wanted the game to be more "CoD" like, which is the exact opposite purpose of the game. But still fun. Though there are only three maps in Bug Hunt mode, unfortunately, and I think only one of them is of any interest being "Tribute" which is Hadley's Hope. Although, luckily, you can improve the game greatly through mods from moddb. First and foremost, the one that everyone has to have with this game is Templar_GFX's Overhaul Mod. This mod drastically improves almost everything about the gameplay such as fixing the enemy AI, fixing the aim accuracy, the colors/atmosphere and overall look of the game. This is a must have. But there are also a bunch of mods out there, and with a little bit of effort, you can actually learn how to mod this game quite easily yourself once you have the right tools and know how to use them. For example, in the Hadley's Hope map for Bug Hunt, there are several locations that are inaccessible unless you pay for them, and a lot of the prices are quite steep so there was a lot of the map I had never even seen due to the fact that I was unable to purchase their respected gates. I was able to mod the game to where all of the doors are free so I could use the full Hadley's Hope map from the beginning of a game. I was also able to remove the Mercenaries and replaced them with Xeno's, then I also changed all Xeno's to the 'Warrior' class to make it much more accurate to the 'Aliens' movie as that was the only Xeno type in the film. The online community? There is none. I'm in several A:CM discords and no one ever plays it anymore so chances are you'll never get to experience the full game, which is understandable as it is a 12 year old, mediocre game. But the most frustrating thing about this game, though, is the potential it has to be great. There are so many things that have drastically improved the experience, but there's also so many things that are RIGHT THERE out of reach to make it even better. All Gearbox needs to do is give the community the tools to do so. For example, theoretically, it's possible to add bots to the offline multiplayer game modes using the games fixed AI system which would enable the multiplayer maps useful again. There is also the possibility of turning these maps into "Bug Hunt" Maps if Gearbox gave the Original Unity Map Projects to the community which would allow modders to customize the maps and use them more liberally. The only reason why this game has any sort of following is because of the modding community, so I am begging Gearbox to release the original projects for them. Underneath this awful game is an amazing one just dying to come out like a chestburster. So, would I recommend this game? If you're a big fan of the franchise and would love the hunt Xeno's on Hadley's Hope, then sure. Although I do think the price is steep at $15 considering the only useful mode being Bug Hunt, it's still worth it as a fan. For everyone else? No. Not unless Gearbox releases the base projects for the modding community. If you're not a GIANT Alien franchise fan, this game would be a complete waste of money at its base model.
When i was a kid i used to play this all the time and thought it was cool af. Now that im an adult its still cool but DAMN gameplay kinda shiddy its not terrible i guess i mean like the gunplay isnt to solid but it was always fun mowing down enemies with a 60 round pulse rifle. That screeching elephant sound is stuck in my brain. Also pretty sure the reason the enemy AI is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is cause the devs just sucked at it or something i havent brushed up on ball knowledge in years.
I enjoyed this game a lot ,I honestly dont get the hate lmao ,its a fine game ,nothing mind blowing but nothing horrible just another decent shooter
