Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 8 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Tedious. Get on a discount. Tedious Alyx custom campaign but they forgot to make it cheap. Only if you really like VR games and Alyx and have nothing else to play. Enemies get tedious, especially the cuttlefish with an obvious weakspot but you still need to hit it 3 times with an upgraded pistol, which will turn immediately upon contact so you have to go to your little hiding spot again and wait it out for him to turn around again. I don't even know what the jellyfish do I just grenaded the only 3 you run into in the game. I don't even think the not-barnacles did anything in the game. Climbing gets tedious, interesting at first but trying to juggle it with dodging and flying enemies. The puzzles get tedious, poor imitations of the alyx multitool ones. The final part of the midboss is tedious. Trying to use inventory items on the move gets tedious. Throwing grenades is tedious. The fake gravity gloves are tedious. The data sections started interesting and just get tedious, especially the final boss (that you can just stand on the platform to beat without jumping around as he doesn't destroy the starting platform). Looking for GPUs (not-resin) gets tedious especially when the environments look like half life 2 but you have to look through 50 drawers and cupboards. World exploration itself gets tedious especially when the right path is so badly telegraphed after the midboss. The upgrades get tedious especially the GPU tracker on the watch that breaks half the time. Trying to use the UI is tedious as unlike alyx your life tracker isn't visible unless you purposefully look at the back of your left hand. The dark parts of the environment get tedious without a torch. The weapons are tedious, just the same as alyx but a bit worse in every way. Even the holographic sights aren't particularly useful and end up blocking what you're trying to aim at without the feature of highlighting weak spots. Fighting not-headcrabs gets tedious, especially when they get armoured and their jumps get buggy. Alyx pulled them off better. The story gets tedious, I don't want to hear people effing and jeffing the entire time in my ear and some over the top gruff voice that's meant to be your player character with amnesia just so they can infodump the story on you as you try and play. The amnesia doesn't even make sense as it makes Adam talk as though he did come from our time even though he never grew up in that kind of world. The physics objects get tedious. Unlike in other games where they're fun gimmicks some of the objects actively get on the way even when they're on the ground, like attempting to step over a chair you've knocked over. Opening drawers gets tedious, you can't stand close enough to them without your hitbox attempting to move you out of the table so it feels like a stretching competition. Opening filing cabinets gets tedious when the top drawer is level with your eye so you need to phase your head inside to see what's there. The art style gets tedious, I don't think I've had to stare at this much greyscale without reading a book before. The memory disks are ok but they're only interesting in the final segment of the game once you reach the level with some actual colour, otherwise, tedious. The blue writing on the walls that pop up everywhere is pretty tedious, I know it's obviously meant to be English in a different looking alphabet like it's Homestuck but I can't be bothered to attempt to translate it especially in VR. The graphics themselves get tedious, something about the AO is poorly implemented for VR and so it isn't stereoscopically correct, leading to half the surfaces having a sort of dim shimmer due to the slightly different lighting in each eye. The deep pools of mercury that kill you and the shallow puddles of mercury that don't share the same texture, was tedious especially when you're just starting the game. Getting locked in place for a cutscene when you're standing in a train is disorientating and tedious, as it restricts from 6-axis to 3-axis of freedom without warning. Automatically crouching when coming up to low obstacles could mess up the standing height calibration, leading your character to be too short for a specific segment where you need to grab something, tedious. Writing this out, not so tedious.

Seriously impressive Alyx Clone that expands on the formula in a lot of fun ways! It being an Alyx Clone I say as a term of endearment for using the style and doing their own thing with it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdaTsnBUC7A
"We have Alyx at home". It's quite a shameless clone featuring the same weapons, enemies, resin hunting, and gravity gloves. The story’s supernaturally-occupied Earth premise, narrative delivered through one-on-one radio chatter, and the focus on dilapidated industrial environments all feel derivative. Visually, Of Lies and Rain has quest-compatibility-itis and the widespread use of techy-textured cubes looks unappealing and artistically inconsistent. Despite having left Early Access, the game is still in need of quite a lot of tuning. Setting aside the overall glitchiness, many small things aren't quite right with Of Lies and Rain. For example, most doors are pull doors, which require more cumbersome body/hand movement in VR, especially during seated play. Leaning over knee-high objects pushes your head backward. The physics for holding objects is off-balance and too wobbly. The “data form” segments are slow, uninteresting, and look amateurish. Even the gravity gloves don't feel right. Flicked objects don’t subtly track your hands mid-flight. They also always follow a high arc. So, obscured items tend to bump around when flicked and any time you want to toss an item over, you’ve got to patiently keep your hand in the same spot. Another significant drawback to the game is the severe lack of ambience. Very little is going on with the audio. There are long stretches with the same two footstep soundbytes and a low hum. No environmentally-appropriate sounds of rainfall or alien noises to keep your ears alert and engaged. Before you consider acquiring this unimpressive forty-dollar game, make sure that you've gotten everything you want out of all the many high-quality modded Alyx campaigns/maps that are out there. Even then, if you are desperate for more methodically-paced VR survival-horror-adjacent games, there are plenty of other options you should set your sights on before Of Lies and Rain.
A very underrated game. At first I was a little skeptical and not that pulled in, but as I progressed and unlocked upgrades for weapons and new areas, it became more enjoyable. The environment I believe is very cool with sci-fi/post apocalyptic theme to it. There aren't too many enemies and it can get a bit tedious but its still fun enough with them having weak spots and looking cool. There's also a separate world that is a platformer with more enemies that acts as a nice break from the real world. This is also a type a game where theres a lot of upgrades which require you to look closely (behind things, above, in, out, you name). I enjoy this as its cool to explore the area, take in the environment and have a desire to upgrade your loadouts. Again, not a long game (I beat sub 9 hours), so get it on sale. But for a small publisher, this is worth a play. 8/10
This is truely "we have half life alyx at home" But it doesnt feel good the graphics suck the price point is way to high for the level of quality. the copied game mechanics arnt copied well at all Sure it has an interesting Premise but honestly i couldnt get more than a hour into this because its honestly just boring Dont buy this game.
This game should NOT be $60, it's Half Life Alyx if the devs sneezed on their keyboard. Though the game is not that bad as it improves on stuff that Half Life Alyx does not. But $60 is not funny joke.

The game starts a bit slow, but gets better and better.
