Played through the main story and hit what I suppose is late game(after you saved rolan from a certain dimension) after 23 hour-ish. TLDR summary : Game started strong with a lot of Monster Hunter vibes but turns into a repetitive grindfest. Now to my actual thoughts: Graphics: Not gonna lie , It was tough for me to get used to this anime style art but it actually fits the story . As i understand the game actually has an anime going on too so it kinda makes sense. Soundtrack: It fits and the boss themes aren't bad either however a lot of the themes repeat and you quickly come to realize that the exsisting soundtracks are good but there's just a few that repeat on bosses etc. Story: Story has some good plot twists and some amazing epic anime like bossfights . Gameplay and bosses : Once you start the game you most definetly get reminded of the Monster Hunter series. A quest counter that lists a bunch of quests and Bosses from which you can embark on said quests. Classic MH .The quests give you crafting resources and mastery points . Mastery points are used to put skillpoints in your skill tree to give your character passive skills and a bunch of active skills aswell. Skilltree is massive once fully unlocked and you can grind quests for mastery points to max out your character whenever you feel like. There's also sigils that drop and are rewarded for slaying monsters that you can slap on your weapon of choice aaaaaand you can level up the sigils too . There's also weapon crafting and weapon upgrading etc. There's a lot to do here. On paper all of this sounds absolutely amazing however around mid game the game shifts. You basicly fight the same 10ish bosses just on different difficulties. Their moveset changes and they turn from bosses that are similair to MH , to raid bosses from an MMORPG. I did this up to maniac difficulty and at that point I was just tired of seeing the same 10 bosses over and over. Additionally the AOEs get so rediculous that your screen is just full of special effects and you can hardly tell wtf is going on around you. The repetitiveness and the exhausting grind is ultimately the reason why I don't recommend this game. It was extremely fun the first 10 Hours but then quickly falls off and just becomes rather tedious. A couple of Bosses are also reused and just got a different color and other elements in atacks ( storm , fire , rock ,ice). A little more variety with the monsters would have helped a lot here but alas. As a MH veteran I'm just used to better stuff and thus I wont recommend this but if you don't mind fighting the same few mobs over and over on different difficulties you'll have a lot of fun with this game.

(polaire)
Absolutely WORTH IT... Relink surprised me with how good nearly everything feels. The story is exciting, the characters are memorable, and every character has a unique playstyle that makes experimenting with the roster genuinely fun. The combat is fast, smooth, and satisfying, especially once you start unlocking new skills, upgrading your gear, and building stronger characters. Leveling up never feels pointless because you can actually feel yourself becoming more powerful. The boss fights are also incredible and make the endgame grind feel rewarding instead of exhausting. On top of that, the visuals are beautiful and the soundtrack is amazing. Whether you care about the story, action combat, character building, or grinding for better gear, there is a lot to enjoy here. I loved my time with it and would easily recommend it. Granblue Fantasy: Relink is absolutely worth the buy and my next buy on this is going to be the DLC Endless Ragnarok

underrated jrpg
learning granblue fantasy has several canon lgbt characters including multiple trans women changed my life. monster hunter for the woke
Is lucilius phainon?
If you like the idea of Monster Hunter like combat (but FASTER and flashier), mixed with the involved mechanics in Raiding from Final Fantasy XIV, combined with a roster of 29 characters with unique play styles to learn and master.... while having fun and meaningful challenging quests to play in Coop? This is for you, and I STRONGLY recommend playing it! Even if you're not "good" at 3rd person action games, the game offers different difficulties to ease you in and help you learn, plus assist modes to make it even more approachable and you can just ENJOY the game, without worrying about the "GIT GUD SCRUB" mentality of elitist pleebs. I can't say enough good things about this game. It scratches that perfect itch of MH and FF XIV while firing all the neurons of happiness with exciting combat and fun characters. If you're not playing this, you are legit missing out. Is this GOTY game? No. Is this game for "EVERYONE"? No.
