Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 8 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Its a typical piranha bytes game. Their writing has gotten worse but the guns are fun. Id start with risen 3 if you're new to the developer or Eurojank games
absolutely not worth $70
ELEX II, like all games Piranha Bytes did after Gothic, is Gothic with a new coat of paint. So, if you like their other games—I do—you'll probably like this one. Except ... * It isn't finished. And I don't mean in the sense of being the second part of a trilogy that'll never be completed, but in the sense that ELEX II itself isn't finished. It screams »there was supposed to be more content here, but we ran out of time/money and had to release what we had« all over the place. Random examples would be Jax's
sickness mechanic
, which never actually does anything, and the
treatment procedure
, that just fades to black. Lots of cutscenes don't use the right armour, weapon, etc. From act 3 onwards NPC dialogue only rarely changes based on the world state. Case in point
Caja doesn't even react when their son is killed
. * Acts 1 and 2 are as good (or bad) as ever, acts 3 and 4 are just a succession of mindless "kill 20 rats" quests. Except it's more like 80 rats per. Now, PB games aren't exactly known for their engaging combat mechanics. For the last couple of hours I just wanted it to be over. Possibly related to the previous point. They can't have taken more than an afternoon to add. * The ending ... is non-existent. It's 90 % sequel bait and 10 % hastily thrown-together epilogue consisting of a couple of stills and a few lines of text. ELEX I was much more self-contained than this. So, yes, it's a Piranha Bytes game, no question, but I can't in good conscience recommend it.

I like Elex 2 as game, its open world, crappy dialog and voice acting, mediocre gameplay. All of it. But i cannot recommend it. It is unplayable due to crashes, glitches, bugs and overall poor performance. I am unable get game to load in dx12. In dx11 it runs like crap constantly stutters and freezes when engaging in combat, even with all settings turned down to minimum.
The first was absolutely amazing to me, YES the first one had ALOT of problems, but the story and overall voice acting surprised me and managed to get a grip on me. with many different decisions to make that create consequences for your actions, the game left me constantly wondering what i would cause to happen next. Would I be the reason for the destruction of a faction? of a friend? a companion? For Magdalon? With all that said, Elex 2 is AMAZING compared to the first. breathtaking visuals and physics, great combat system, and an immense amount of quests/missions to do around the world. If you havent played the first Elex game, id hold off on this one until you have at least played a decent amount of the first. i give it a 8/10, as there are a few slight things I dont care for in the mechanics when it comes to locking onto enemies, if you are a magic fist wielder, youre going to have some issues when enemies side step or spin around. overall pretty great tho I likes it.

The game is very similar to the good old Gothic franchise, RPG classic and a lot of combat with exploration.
IMO - its fantastic. Finally an RPG that doesn't just mimic the systems that already exist out there, but tries to innovate. Plus, the world building is great - you won't be swamped with zillions of quests and then feel overwhelmed with decision on where to go. It does give you freedom in where to go and what to do, and you always have few quests running in parallel - but you'll never feel overwhelmed and having to make a choice between running side quests or mainline. Looks great for its age, sounds pretty good. Mixture of modern and medieval weapons is a pretty cool thing. I like that everything you do in the game is also a skill based thing, not just stat pumping. This is only the second game I ever played after original Gothic, and I'm happy to see that the formula is still there, just far better. All in all - very much worth the money.
