Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 10 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Just bad
Okay, so here's the deal, if you're looking for a solid RPG reminiscent of Suikoden, this is it, but try to keep an open mind, and remind yourself that this ISN'T Suikoden, Eiyuden is its own game, with it's own ideas, while borrowing a few things from Suikoden. I think that a lot of people went into this expecting another Suikoden, and not an original title, and were left disappointed. That being said, the story is okay'ish, the writing is decent, there's a few funny lines, and a few really bizarre choices, but all in all it's a pretty good RPG, with a ton to do. The sprites look amazing, and you can tell this game was made with love. It also has a lot of side stuff to keep you busy as well, when you're not working on progressing the main story. Now, here's my beef with it...if you are someone who enjoys collecting achievements, this game will make you want to gouge your eyes out, and question what you're doing with your life, due to the sheer amount of repetitiveness. It does NOT respect your time, even in the slightest, between doing the same monotonous thing 120 times, tapping a button, and RNG related tasks it's a nightmare. So if you're not a big achievement hunter, it's worth the ride! ...if you are, don't say I didn't warn you if you decide to pick it up.

I had an incredible time with Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. The game was challenging and, at times, rage-inducing but in the best way possible. It perfectly captured the spirit and charm of Suikoden I & II, which I’ve deeply missed for years. Huge thanks to the devs for reviving that classic JRPG magic. What a fantastic and memorable experience.
The spiritual successor to a classic; Suikoden. It makes me wonder what's missing from rpg teams. Are companies too big? Musicians, writers, and game designers can't get together in a room and jam? There is a strong but hard to pin down trait that Eiyuden has in spades; heart. Eiyuden is made with a tremendous amount of passion. The recruiting is satisfying, and the dialogue is very different per character, town building is fun, and many of the steps lead to new quests and mini games. Honestly, more mini games than a reasonable person can play, they are entire side campaigns. The main story is simplistic but full of heart, with more than a few bold turns, and dramatic character arcs. It's a shame Murayama didn't get to see its release. Rest in peace.
A solid JRPG, 7.8/10 This game is fun and enjoyable, the battle felt too easy sometimes especially the first half part of the game. For those who want to start playing and happened to read this review. I strongly suggest to just play it without reading a walkthrough to recruit all the characters to force yourself recruit all characters in first playthrough, believe me it's not worth it and can make you not enjoying the game that much. Play it blind is the best way to experience it for the first time.
Are you looking for another Suikoden game? This ain't it. Go play Suikoden Tiekris on the DS. Steam teaches that just liking an rpg does not mean you can replicate its magic as a "spirtual successor." Are you looking for an above-average indie rpg that is better than any of the other spirtual successor rpgs (Chained Echoes, Sea of Stars, etc.) or normal kickstarter dreg? Then, I recommend this game (7/10). I would wait to buy it in on sale. I think if they either get much better at copying Suikoden or decide to do their own thing, a sequel could be quite good Combat: -Normal combat is fun if you swap out different characters and try different combos -Boss battles are easy. They have "Gimmicks", which are special actions for that specific boss, but most of the time they're not neccessary to even use -Magic system is terrible, the rune slot system does not really allow you to customize anyone (main characters have bland locked-in abilities for the most part), and most mages are useless -Duels are terrible -Army battles are terrible (doesn't feel like any of your recuitments help, no strategy is involved, and it is mostly just holding out until a cutscene, so the battles feel like a waste of time more than anything) Story: -Main story is good/straight down the middle political/military fare -Most main characters range from bland (Nowa and Seign) to annoying (Lian and Nowa's sister) to why are you here (Marissa). The only one that had an intriguing story thus far is Perelle -They should not have attempted to do a 3-part story on their first main game. A lot if feels glommed on/poorly integrated. Suikoden 3 this is not -Some good lore and character stories, but most of it is unlocked in an exposition dump (Fortune Teller stall)/not really integrated into the game Miscellania; -Character recruitment is fun, and basebuilding is fun -Minigames range from terrible (beigoma and cooking battles [15 montonous battles to unlock 1 character? were the devs high?]) to fun (liked the card game but loses all challenge after a moderate investment in cards) Dungeons: -Dungeons are short, but some of them had interesting designs or ideas Music: -Bland/inoffensive
