you would have a better time reading dishonored 1 sokolov x pietro fanfiction written by a 13 year old than you would playing this game playing this game. i genuinely dont think ive ever played a game more disappointing and insufferable than this game is and i've played fallout 76. i had such a good time playing dishonored 1, it immediately went into my top 5 favorite games and when i bought dishonored 2 i was hoping it would be a semi-similar experience but at every single corner theres another person saying the same 2 words. Clockwork Soldier. they must've thought they cooked so hard on the Clockwork Soldiers when in reality the best thing about this game is that you can quit. not to mention they made corvo insufferable because at every turn he has some stupid one liner or piece of history that would've been delivered infinitely better through cutscenes and notes but No, hes gonna give you every bit of information about his life if you want it or not. if you like the feeling of disappointment, shame, annoyance, irritation, and bitter realization that dishonored is forever seared by the disappointing mess that is this game, then you should definitely buy it

Well boys, another one down for the count. Ever wondered what it felt like to be John Wilkes Booth? Well wonder no further, this here game will make you feel like this nation's most ICONIC head-driller. Explore stunning environments, experience crisp gameplay: live as the Booth lived by turning into a fent induced trip deity and crawling past baddies as a shadow demon. All this, and a brilliant story to boot! I mean, this game has hands down some of the most brilliantly written characters any fictional work-- period. Who could forget that one girl, I believe her name was Diane? Unforgettable! And that one guy: the duke. How could we forget the duke. The way these gripping characatures bring this world to life is a treat to experience. And on the topic of sarcasm, the ending can only be seen to be believed. Like the great oil paintings of old which inspired it, Dishonored 2 is pretty to look at not always a good video game. Probably worth playing. Maybe not though.
Cons • The bite sized maps can feel a bit constrictive. • The contrast in the artstyle is high, with plenty of alternating dark corners and bright light. Strains my eyes when playing for long periods of time. • Cutscenes and dialogue can become a bit tedious when you just want to roam the streets, stalking and sneaking! Pros • Excellent artstyle. Seriously, it just oozes quality. • Graphics are top notch, and I'm not even joking when I say they're better than in most brand new games. • Sound design and voice acting is top notch. • World building is on another level. Attention to detail and verisimilitude is amazing. • High replay value. I guarantee you'll miss something the first and second time around. • Gameplay is where this game really shines. Sneaking, stabbing, shooting, sleuthing. All fun! Conclusion: A masterclass in game design, albeit a bit slow in certain aeras. Score: 8.5/10
