Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut

very fun b game and does live up to the title of a cult classic but the biggest issue of this game is the constant crashes that occur and needs to be direly fixed through an update or else the game is just broken at this point and at times unplayable.

cool game from what ive played. game kept crashing and i was willing to put up with it but once episode 2 started i kept getting booted out, completely unplayable

В игре крутой сюжет и персонажи. Во всём остальном она довольно скучна, а техническое состояние очень плохое и это еще мягко сказано. Если все таки решитесь проходить игру из стимовской версии то готовьтесь в жесткому сексу жопой. Но всё же сюжет крутой и только благодаря ему я был готов пожертвовать своей жопой и пройти игру до конца.

Best Detective

The "best bad game" that I've ever played and I say that with 0% hesitation. Francis York Morgan isn't exactly your typical protagonist and I purposefully say that using such a commonly recycled opening statement for media reviews. He can be considered dense, unaware of social cues, and eccentric overall. However, I find those traits to be why he's oddly charming in his appeal and why I think the guy himself is so dang cool. I first played this back in May 2023 on the Xbox 360--otherwise known as the best version of the game available. This was when I was on a massive hunt for a good thrilling horror game and albeit this wasn't exactly what I was initially wanting, it turned out to be even better than I had expected it to be. The generic sound effects, clunky gameplay mechanics, low quality rendering and budgeting investments, and Agent York hyping himself up as he's shooting away at supernatural entities are all what's placed this game within the deep sanctuaries of my fondest gaming memories. I actually enjoyed the transitions in between the real world and the supernatural horror world because I feel that it allows for more room and depth in terms of character development and establishing a sense of camaraderie with the main cast of characters vicariously. I can vividly remember going from giggling my ass off to having my heart strings pulled on and twisted repeatedly. This was a game that had my interest piqued for quite some time that I remember excitedly turning my Xbox 360 just to continue finding out what happens in the story. And I've very glad that I picked this up out of curiosity because it became one of those surprises that was concealing a hidden gem that you fondly look back on from time to time. It's not for everyone and may be considered more niche when it comes to determining who'll end up enjoying the game, but this was no doubt a 5/5 for me.

Great game very fun, one of the best horror games you can get for the price next to amnesia and pathologic 1. Game is kind of like resident evil 4, except kind of like a murder mystery. The character you play agent york is the best thing about this game however. Not the horror, or the raincoat killer, or anything else. Its york he's crazy, schitzo, a movie buff, and for some reason dead spirits keep haunting this guy trying to kill him. Which means you have to fight off spirits by the hundreds. Rest of the town living peacefully like a little supernatural war isn't going on with this dude. Its very strange there's a currency system and a lot of cool weapons, but you get money from killing this army of spirits. And if you think fighting spirits sounds lame its not, the spirits have that very creepy ghost feel to them and are a lot of fun to fight. Of course you also got the raincoat killer to worry about, but he's a lot harder to deal with then the spirit bullet fodder. Games graphics and gameplay are very good imo, and the story is interesting. I like this game so far. One other thing, you get what you pay for this is not your usual horror length it is a long game. I'm only up to chapter 2 or 3 and I been playing for dozens of hours. This is not a light horror game, I think every horror game fan should take a look at this game for the price on sell there's no reason not to.
