Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Aug 14 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
BEING A TEENAGER SUCKS. So we made a videogame about it.
Hey remember when your parents, your friends, and society at large all conspired to make you feel ugly, lazy, stupid, and unloved despite the brilliant human spirit contained within you? No? Well, allow us to refresh your memory via the timeless medium of a slice-of-life role-playing game!
In Consume Me, you take on the role of Jenny, young, in love, and entering her final year of high school. Make meticulous scheduling decisions to maximize your glow-up! Solve the puzzle game of dieting! Evade distractions as you pursue scholarly success! Do chores to get money from mom at a rate much lower than minimum wage!
Can you win the heart of the boy of your dreams? Can you hold on to it? Can you chart a course towards a sustainable future? Can you fit just one more TODO goal on your plate, or is it already full to bursting? Most importantly, does any of this matter--either in the game, or in a broader sense? I don't have time to spoil the story here, so I'll just give you a free tip: if you have the spare money, buy some coffee at the corner store and drink it for an extra free-time unit.
A darkly funny coming-of-age story: You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll get a little hungry, sometimes all at the same time! Sorry about that!
Every meal a puzzle: Eat your lunch, but be careful not too eat too much. Also, try not to eat too little either. Throw any food you don't want to the dog. It's fine, she's not on a diet!
Gripping strategic decision making: A limited amount of time and an unlimited number of things to do!? This classic combination introduces the ultimate strategic question: How should you be spending your time? It's up to you to answer this question...every day of your life!
Obtain powerful equipment: Choose from a selection of garments that help you dress for success. But be warned, the armor of this world degrades after a mere single day of use...until you renew it via that ancient ritual known only as "laundry."
Over 13 possible endings: Most of them bad!

One of the best games ever created.

As someone who went through anorexia and a lot of low-self esteem as a teenager, this is wildly accurate. I was scared by how real the game felt. I honestly never realized, until playing Consume Me, that probably one of the reasons why I was good at being an over-achiever and trying to juggle so many things as a teen was because of how much I gamified completing certain goals, just like Jenny. I haven't finished the game, and I think part of it is because it might become too triggering for me. But damn, I am so grateful games like this exist. Huge shout out to the devs for putting this out into the world.
Absolutely loved this game. I didn't expect a story aspect to it because I had only seen snippets of the game in passing, but a friend recommended it to me so I took a bite. LOVED LOVED LOOOOOVED IT!!! Dialogue was funny, art and music amazing, the mini games were actually fun, story was great, and the system had enough depth where it made you think. In the moments I really thought I wouldn't be able to push through I felt the same stress the character was feeling, although obviously to a lesser extent, but you somehow manage still. It was soooo fun finding all the combos and mixes between buffs and actions. I absolutely recommend this game to everyone.
What a charming game! Jived with it all the way through, and ended up playing it in a single sitting. The core gameplay loop of resource managing was engaging throughout the whole game, and the twists that Jenny's surrounding life threw into the mix kept it thrilling! First game of it's kind that I've played, but would definitely play another!
I can't recommend this game enough! The story is touching, the gameplay is surprisingly fun and addicting, the art is super fun and expressive, the music is lovely. Truly a touching excellent game that hooked me from the very beginning. Also decently long! It took me 8 hours to finish. The most impressive thing this game did was make me THINK like the protagonist, not to mention feel what she's feeling. Every mechanic is in place to put you in the same mindset as her and make the same decisions she would make. Amazing stuff, I think no other game caused this for me.
"I'm Jenny, smart, responsible, well-read, athletic, health-conscious, exceeded all my goals and got A++ for everything, but I absolutely have to date this loser boyfriend and all my life goals revolve around him. When he doesn't want me, my whole life is worthless and Jesus is my only hope." Do we really need this kind of narrative in 2026, where women consume their life pleasing men, competing with other women and living up to expectations from everyone but herself? This is a mixed review - I did not give a negative rating because the game play is so fun and addictive, exactly the type of stats raising sim game I always love. HOWEVER I have a HUGE problem with the story, which is really really frustrating. With all these interactive elements, mini-games and stat-raising goals, you'd think it is a "choose your adventure" game and you can achieve different endings based on your stats/choices. But no, you do NOT have a choice in how the story progresses and what type of person you will become. You are forced to play out someone else's story, and the story is not a pleasant one at all. You CANNOT at any point in the game choose to dump the boyfriend or stop working on the relationship, otherwise it is a game over and apparently your life is a failure. All the goals for each chapter is centered around the boyfriend - need to lose weight to attract him, need to be raise all stat levels to earn approval from his parents, need to apply to the same university to keep the relationship alive, need to ace all exams to make the transfer happen...Look, I enjoy optimizing my day-to-day and get my stats to perfection to achieve all these goals, but I'm super bothered that the narrative makes it crystal clear that the driving force behind all these is the boyfriend, not MC yourself. And even if I have to date someone, why can't I have someone better? Not someone who hides his girlfriend in his closet for hours when his mom accidentally comes home, not someone who is too cheap to even pay for movie dates that he initiated, not someone who will play video games that you are not interested in the whole time when you come over to hang out, and definitely not someone for whom you do so much but still dumps you out of nowhere? Yes that's right, no matter what you do in the game he will dump you in the end. I've never played a game this enraging tbh. Can't choose to NOT date this person I hate, but this person will dump me, lol. What kind of gameplay experience is that? Usually in this genre of games (say, Volcano Princess) you can choose to date different love interests, or you can choose to stay single, but no, in this game you just absolutely have to date this person and it is game over if you dare to divert from the path that the developer set you on. Now, I could somewhat understand if it is a visual novel game where you are just an observer to experience a story in an immersive way. But this game gives you an illusion of choice, you arrange your routines, balance all stats, carefully choose the bonus outfits/items to boost different goals, just for...this? Throughout the gameplay, I keep thinking that this is just a satire, and I'm patiently waiting for the big moment of growth - something like MC finally realizes he is not worth it, MC starts to love herself instead, MC becomes her own person, or something even better and deeper! Because I keep thinking this cannot be the gist of the story. But of course no, the game literally ends the moment he breaks up with you, and religion is the only reason that gets you through it. End. There are just so many layers that are wrong about this. If I have to live through this crap ending, I'd expect something much more reflective, but there is nothing other than using something else (religion) to fill the hole that the boyfriend is no longer willing to fill. The message is just so wrong. MC has zero personal growth.
