Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 56.83/day in the week to Jul 17 → 3.29/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you like reading, the occult, HP Lovecraft, puzzles, exploration, home decorating, and crafting, I cannot recommend this game enough. There is always something new to discover around every corner, and the game will really draw you in if you like mystery. Book of Hours practically oozes atmosphere in a way I've rarely seen other games accomplish. You live the day to day life of an occult Librarian, although your library starts destroyed and you have to renovate it room by room, part of the fun is seeing what awaits in every new room you unlock. The books themselves are full of esoteric knowledge, both as a game mechanic and as text you can read in the dialogue box. You can click on pretty much every object, and they all have a description and even further information you can read if you put it in your examine slot. And the way that they're written adds so much to the creepy and enigmatic atmosphere. The one thing I would caution people on is the steep learning curve. Starting out you will struggle to figure out what stuff means and how to interact with the world. But that is part of the experience, it adds to the mystery and figuring out how to be an effective librarian is really what the game is about. If you really struggle, like you can't even get into the library despite trying everything, don't feel bad about watching or reading an beginner's guide. I still barely know how crafting works after dozens of hours, but it's totally worth it once you get the hang of things. Overall I would give it a 9.5/10, I really want to give it a perfect score but I have to take off half a point for the poor explanation of the game mechanics. Could use a little bit of a better tutorial, but that's easily solved by internet resources. Get into the library and you will get hooked on unlocking rooms just to see what weird stuff awaits.

This game made me learn Obsidian. 10/10
I'm going to start by saying that, if the heavy lore is not your primary interest, do not buy this game. This game is entirely carried by its narrative, and the enjoyment comes entirely from stumbling your way through the mechanics, experimenting with crafting recipes (or potentially finding some clues...), and unlocking new rooms. The gameplay itself mostly consists of finding new ways to increase your affinities to do new things, like unlocking rooms. It's simple, and on paper it's very boring, but the world is interesting enough to keep me coming back. If gameplay is your main incentive, I would avoid this game. You will be disappointed. As far as my personal gripes with this game, I don't really like some of the time mechanics. I think weather cards slow the game down somewhat and visitors arrive very slowly. I kind of wish there was a "skip to next completed task" feature. Currently, you can speed up time to x6, so a minute long task can be as short as 10 seconds, but I admittedly get a little impatient when waiting 20 seconds to analyze a book (takes 120 seconds in game time). Overall, I like it. Definitely think about what you want out of it, though.
it's a great point and click story game, high value if you read a lot of the content, low value if you want to just "beat the game"
Good game. It compels me.
Perfect hyperfocus game. I only just launched it, and suddenly, I'm 70 hours in. Not complaining.
