PLEASE AVOID THIS GAME AT ALL COSTS!!! This is coming from a person who 100%d this game. - Is this a bad game? Nope, absolutely not it was phenomenal. Although BioShock 1 was better, this still hell of a great game. At this point you are wondering if I am insane or not, here is why you should avoid this game at all costs: Reason 1: The game crashes once every 5 to 10 minutes. There are fixes online that I found by simple google search after being frustrated a lot but start with this base; try saving it often. The game crashes a lot especially after long periods of gameplay. Set the launch option to -dx9. This should help smooth it teeny tiny bit. In order to do that, right click the game, go to properties, set launch options and type -dx9 into the text box. However, I hate any developer who is lazy AF to let people and modders do what they are supposed to do. Reason 2: This is a big one; in case you missed the review explaining why 2K is a spyware company and injecting viruses and other means of malware into your kernel and steal your private information. It has been sitting in my library alongside with many other games collecting dust and increasing my evergrowing backlog. Back then they weren't this evil so I didn't mind supporting them. Look, I play my games on an isolated PC where I don't have any private info stored. PC is just for playing steam games and that is it. So those woke freaks CANNOT reach my wife's or/and my daughter's videos & pictures and sell them to a data broker in China, India, Russia and Iran or even worse DHS. If you value yourself and your privacy DO NOT EVER buy anything from 2K and any other demonic woke corporations like 2K such as Microsoft, Activision, Bethesda, CDPR etc. There's a good saying on the internet starts with "If buying isn't owning..." you might consider doing the rest. These demons should go bankrupt after all the illegal activity they have done. Their CEO was busted in a medieval themed restaurant with a USB full of illegal data on him. Think about it! There is a remastered version of the game so consider playing that if single player is all you want but they were so lazy they didn't import multiplayer on that one so did I hear. I will play that too and see if it is different than I will update my review to keep it accurate.

“No gods or kings. Only man.” - Andrew Ryan BioShock 2 has always been underappreciated. While its narrative doesn’t quite hold up to the first game which is a daunting comparison, given how beloved the original is for good reason the moment to moment experience shines. The combat feels noticeably better it’s weighty, satisfying, and playing as a Big Daddy never stops being awesome. Visually, the game still holds up beautifully, and returning to Rapture is always a pleasure. I’d love to see another entry in the BioShock universe it’s been far too long. Unfortunately, it feels increasingly difficult these days to greenlight a tight, narrative focused experience. That’s what makes revisiting BioShock 2 so refreshing a well paced, focused game that delivers a complete experience without open world bloat or unnecessary mechanics sprinkled throughout.

It would be nice to receive a full refund, considering 2K turned the original product into spyware. this game is amazing the negative review are just wrong about the EULA its not spyware you can look at the files and see they are the same as they have been for the past 5 years

Bioshock 2 mejora en casi todos los apartados del original. Mejora la relacion con los personajes, su gameplay es mucho mas inmediato y saca las trabas del primero. Y nunca te despegas de su historia ni tu implicacion en ella, logrando un final mucho mas satisfactorio y plasmando tus decisiones por el camino. Bioshock 2 no se queda lejos de su antecesor logrando sacar los mejor del primero, mejorando y ampliando su mundo, lo que toda secuela deberia ser.

I am not giving a thumbs down because of the game itself. Bioshock 2 rules, but this is one of the worst ports i have ever seen. Constant crashing (both versions) still not fixed and no one in 2K cares. Unacceptable.
