I mean I used to love this game so much. But one day I changed from windows to linux and when I try to download this game again it happen to be that my save is gone, it's just because game save as a local file. But in the end I love this game and really recommend it, but remember that you can't never uninstall the game.

Very nice game to chill and fish with the boys. It really leans into the old era of the internet by caving it's own social hub. It also offers a lot for those who like to vibe solo. The downside is that the solo dev, West, got doxxed and bullied off the internet by sour trolls. The game also lacks steam cloud support. It's basically shelved out of necessity and safety, and that makes me sad. The game is still worth picking up, and the community is still holding strong. We await for your return, West.

A great casual fishing chat room game. Webfishing is a fantastic simple multiplayer game. At its core the game is essentially only about fishing with that being the main objective throughout the game, however it’s a breath of fresh air compared to games around its genre with low-poly animal crossing stylised design and simple game mechanic. I managed to play around the peak of release with friends and had a great chilled session playing this which I deeply miss to this day. Watching videos, talking in discord voice chat and all round showing off the cool fish we caught was all great positive highlights and experiences I had when playing this game. Moving on, I see a lot of community posts (as of recent August 2026) asking whether or not this game is still worth picking up, and I think if everything you’re looking for in a casual fishing game is answered here then the answer is quite simple – yes! Achievements are a long grind but are possible which adds to the game’s longevity if you’re an achievement hunter. The game offers great and unique ways of creativity for character customization as well as artistic moments allowing users to paint and graffiti cool pieces of artwork (Check out Webfishing’s community section). I’m upset to hear what had happened to the dev, and possibly to this we could have got more content and or updates with some fixes here and there but overall, I’m glad the dev made his money, mark and shipped off with it after all the abuse he suffered. Overall, a great casual chatroom fishing game that I hope you and your friends enjoy if you do buy this to play and experience.
