Flock Around

As someone who absolutely loves birds, I will be INCREDIBLY biased, but this is such a cute and cozy game with friends! Hope to see plenty more areas added <3

An incredibly cozy and comfy coop game where you watch and photograph birds! You just chill and take cool photos, alone or with friends! And I have to say, as an avid birder myself, this game nails the experience. Lots of trying to get the perfect shot, patient waiting for the right bird to show up and .. also the birds are all based on real birds! And not just do they look and sound like the real life equivalent, they also behave like the real ones would! Makes me think these devs are definitely birders themselves and I appreciate that passion being put into this game. Also my luck wasn't the greatest, so it took me 35 hours to get all shinies. Just as a note for the completionists out there haha!

look, I’m no conspiracy theorist, but you gotta wonder if some of these (rather ridiculous looking) birds actually look like that … or even exist to begin with (both in game and IRL). I have not yet concluded my investigation, but if you manage to look past the façade that is going on right before your eyes, then you are going to have a lot of fun with friends and bird friends. 10/10

Out of all the friendlike games that have been recently released, this is definitely one of my favorites! The gameplay is pretty straightforward: go take pictures of birds lol. Each picture is worth a certain amount of "stars" that gives you access to new areas. You can purchase upgrades with the money you make from said pictures, like increased camera zoom and seeing the location of all current active birds. There's also various types of seeds and whistles to lure certain birds. You can take pictures of "shiny" variations of birds . The graphics are very cute and all of the birds are well designed! My biggest complaint is that a lot of the areas are VERY small, especially the cherry blossom and snow biome. I love the variety of birds, but I wish there was more to explore. I played with one other person and I felt that was a fairly reasonable amount of time for a $5 game (roughly 3 hours). But if you are playing with a full group, expect the game to go MUCH faster. I'd give this game a 8/10. I recommend it for anyone looking for a quick cozy game to kill time. Looking forward to future updates!

The game felt half done but they're adding maps as DLC which kinda feels like a spit in the face given how little the original map is.

Flock Around começou pra mim de um jeito bem simples, caçando fotos perfeitas de uma variedade enorme de pássaros, cada um no seu habitat e com suas próprias movimentações. Foi muito divertido jogar em coop com meu amigo, principalmente no começo, quando fomos liberando todas as áreas e conseguimos zerar em poucas horas. Só que depois disso eu continuei sozinho até buscar o 100%, e acabei passando umas 18 horas no jogo procurando todos os pássaros em todos os tipos, e aí percebi que completar tudo não era tão fácil quanto parecia. Principalmente quando envolve os pássaros voando, porque tem alguns que são rápidos demais e a câmera com zoom nem sempre ajuda a acompanhar, então algumas fotos exigem bastante paciência. Mesmo assim, me diverti muito procurando tudo e explorando cada cantinho do jogo. O mais legal é que, além de platinar um jogo, eu acabei aprendendo um hobby de verdade.
