I hadn't played Tropico 4 since I owned it on Xbox 360 ~13 years ago. One day, the memories of El Presidente and my Communist island nation of Tropico came flooding back. The hardships, the victories, the tobacco farms. I had to try it again. Having played Tropico 4 in 2025, I'm more than impressed with how it has aged. It's a "pocket" city sim, in a way. Rather than 1,200 hours like many Skylines games, you can expect about 100-200 hours of content. The game is balanced well, highly interactive, not overwhelming to learn, and rewarding when you succeed. Even the campaign mode feels sandbox-y, but there's a dedicated sandbox mode for the particularly dedicated "dictator." Buy it for El Presidente! Viva la Tropico!
[h1] Симулятор эль президенте, в котором без русского перевода не разобраться [/h1] Текста тут море, советников море, всяких задач ещё больше - построй это, построй то, дни и месяцы просто летят. Сидеть тут ковыряться методом тыка довольно утомительно. Да и игра порой странно ведёт себя. Вроде бы уже выиграл выборы и захотелось немного дольше поиграть. Вот только после очередных выигрышных выборов уже не появляется опция выигрыша и окончания игры. Вот так продолжаешь и продолжаешь ковыряться в куче заданий. Всё нужно учесть. Всё принимаешь, а максимум тут только 5 заданий. Ещё и какой-то ураган налетел и президенте хас вундед. И так далее... Потом как-то утомило за несколько часов тут ковыряться. За эти несколько часов дали только одно достижение за полный набор министров. Поэтому нужно ждать пока разработчики добавят здесь русский перевод и хоть нормально прочесть то, что собственно хотят в задании. А в целом тут экономика условная, хоть и масштабная. Аватар где-то бегает и приходится решать все вопросы. Хорошо, что хоть советники вовремя помогают советом, что делать. Построек тут масса и можно потеряться. В плане цитат тут тоже масса всяких личностей, даже Жириновский есть. Вот только без русского перевода часть колорита меняется, особенно если выбрать фракцию социалистов. Капиталисты лезут со всех щелей. И удивительно конечно видеть такие возможно на каком-то захудалом острове. Что уж говорить про Россию. Жаль, что тут большой страной порулить не дают. Хотя и без этого тут построек уйма. В техническом же плане нареканий особо нет - на максимальных настройках игра красивая и хорошо оптимизирована. Единственное, что есть некоторые графические косяки на определённом отдалении от территории. Из неуказанного на странице есть облачное сохранение.

The game is great, but it’s disappointing to see so many requests for a [b] Turkish language [/b] patch being ignored. This indifference is frustrating.
TROPICO 4 WAS THE BEST AFTER THIS THEY RUINED THE GAME
The game has a straightforward management loop but is extremely rich in political and economic depth. Also, the campaign humor is astonishingly good. [h1]The Positives:[/h1] [+] Extremely polished experience (Faced no bugs nor crashes). [+] Vibrant, colorful graphics that capture the tropical vibe perfectly. [+] Hilarious writing and satirical story missions. [+] Superb voice acting (especially Penultimo and the faction leaders). [+] Unforgettable Latin soundtrack that has been stuck in my head for days. [+] Immersive island management (It is fun to follow individual citizens and see their thoughts/lives). [+] Lovable, quirky characters that represent different political ideologies. [+] Very funny, surprising and silly random events [+] Trading and foreign policy systems are satisfying and offer great variety. [+] Can speed up or pause time to manage crises. [+] A LOT OF BUILDINGS & EDICTS [h1]The Negatives:[/h1] [-] Poor introduction to some advanced logistics (it's hard to tell why teamsters aren't moving goods sometimes or why people are not interested in some jobs or why tourists are not coming anymore). [-] Traffic jams can become a nightmare in the late game. [-] Constructing roads is painful, it sometimes does not work as I want. Overall, this is the best city builder/political sim I have ever played. It's also very cheap during sales, so just buy it and become El Presidente.

2025年6月14日 PC（Windows11）買い替えして久しぶりにインストールして日本語化できたので報告兼ねて https://www.wikihouse.com/tropico/index.php?%A5%C8%A5%ED%A5%D4%A5%B34%2F%C6%FC%CB%DC%B8%EC%B2%BD ここのサイトの「Tropico4 日本語化ツール」はできませんでしたが、その下の「以下はツールで日本語化出来ない場合に、手動で行う方法です。」で日本語化できました 上のサイトに書いてある通りにやればいいだけなのですが、デモ版DL時にブラウザoperaのDLも出てきたので、「変なアプリが入った」「できなかった」という人はそこだと思います
