Probably and hopefully the worst game of the franchise. From insane bugs to design problems this game has it all in a bad way. Worst of it all, you can't skip the game because Trine 4 picks up the story from Trine 3. Quite honestly I don't know why they did the changes nobody asked for. Trine 3 is not made for co-op. Trine 2 was also the same but Trine 3 takes the cake on this one. They took pretty much all the skills from the players. Most we can do is like 2 things. Wizard can pull stuff and create a single box. Thief can use rope. That's it. Warrior can hit stuff and glide? Why kept the glide and took other good Warrior related stuff from the game? Tutorial is literally worthless. My Mage playing friend realized you can go in z axis with a wheel barrow. As for me as a Thief I learned the fact that I can use my rope for tying up things almost at the end of the game. BECAUSE GAME NEVER TOLD US WE COULD DO THAT. Progression... Progression is so bad and so annoying... I hated that the most. Game expects you to do their minigames and collect a lot of orange stones. Like why? You need to collect 900. NINE HUNDRED ORANGE STONES to finish this stupid chore of a game. I played for 5.7 hours but I still want my time back. Game is super short compared to other games of the franchise. We did every minigame and finished it in less than 6 hours. Actually we could finish quicker if not for the constant bugs and connection problems we had with the game. 3/10 at best. I don't know how but I like the first game more and that game is like decade older than this one. Really sad.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Нерабочая ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Very nice game even today
very baggy game with unfinished story
It's definitely not as good (or fun) as the first two games, but I mostly enjoyed this a little. The 3D gimmick is a little annoying and janky sometimes, but at least they tried to branch out. It doesn't redeem the plain abilities/lack of talent trees/story that ends on a cliffhanger you'll never see the continuation of (what were they thinking?) though. Definitely don't play this as your first Trine game (because you won't want to give the rest of them a try if you do), but once you've played 1 and 2, if this is on mega sale and you love annoying your friends with stupid wizard boxes, you might as well smash through this. It's four hours of your life you won't get back, but still...
It's very literally unfinished. It just ends at what you assume is about 40%~ through it, even to the point of introducing what the next major thing (should've) been, then just credits roll.
Essentially, the game isn't as bad as everyone's saying. It's worth noting that the storytelling was worse than in previous installments, and the game's transition to 3D was quite peculiar in places, with platform bugs causing a lot of havoc. Unfortunately, character leveling was lost; playing as a mage with only a cube became a bit boring, and the game is also shorter than usual, which isn't a plus. But the game still remains a pretty good co-op game for three friends. My rating: ✭✭✭✰✰
El peor juego de la franquicia.
