Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Wildgate is a PvPvE multiplayer shooter with 3 different modes. In Artifact Brawl, be the first to snatch the Artifact and blast through the Wildgate, or destroy the ships of every rival crew to be crowned the winner. Fleet Battle pits two massive teams of up to 12 players each against one another in relentless, action-packed combat. For a more relaxed looting expedition, salvage treasure and escape with the spoils before getting blown up in Treasure Hunt.
Across all modes your ship is your home and lifeline for you and your prospector crew. Keep it topped up with ice, fuel and ammo so you're ready for anyone or anything the Reach throws at you.

Blast your enemies with hi-tech cannons and gadgets, lure them into deadly traps, or even mess with their ship... as long as they don't sabotage yours first. When your perfect plan goes out the airlock, there's only one option... wing it!

Stay one step ahead as you and your crew navigate the Reach — a vast, ever-changing procedurally-generated map that changes with every game.

Choose from a variety of daring prospectors, each with their own abilities and tools. Whether you want to be a brave pilot holding down the ship or a clever trickster boarding enemy ships, there's no wrong way to commit space crimes!

The Reach is a dangerous, unpredictable place, filled with deadly hazards and treasure beyond your wildest dreams. Navigate through cosmic storms, battle space creatures, and plunder ancient alien ruins for lost caches of loot. Just make sure you beat the other prospectors to the punch, or you'll fly away empty-handed!

Great game, great idea, missed opportunity. The game is dead because they couldn't grow the core content fast enough (or change monetization models to match their target market/play appeal). If you got to play Wildgate at launch, you know the thrills it provided! But at this point with ~30-40 players online any given day during peak hours, it's dead. They could *maybe* revive this with an F2P re-release that is paired with a new map region, major new POIs, and lots more content along with a seasonal MTX model and some more radically-styled ship aesthetics/character aesthetics. Until then, if you're ever considering this game just go check the Steam player counts lists first.
Really enjoyed this game and would like to play more, but the development team removed Treasure Hunt, the only game mode my partner and I enjoy playing together. I know the developer's justification for doing so (it's temporary, they're experimenting), but I really don't like that a game I paid for and has supposedly exited early access is "experimenting" by removing game modes. It's not even in the rotation of modes they setup, so we just don't get an opportunity to have fun playing even though we have a bunch of time off for the holidays. I'm still hoping this game does well, but the development team needs to be more respectful of all of their player segments to keep getting their support.

DEAD game thats unfortunate please make this game free! to get the game back alive ASAP!!!
This is the first and only game that actually banned me from the discussion forums after suggesting that it goes free to play becuase of the low player count. I wasn't being rude or toxic, just a mere suggestion and I got banned. At the time of writing this it has 463 players, and it's currently free to play for a few days...
The ONLY reason I don't recommend this game is because it's completely dead. I actually thought the gameplay loop and everything was pretty fun and satisfying but matchmaking takes forever, and even then I never saw another player in game. The PvE elements aren't really fleshed out enough to make it worth playing PvE only, it needs the PvP element. If this game suddenly gets a ton of players I'll be back, but I don't see that happening. Edit: Y'all apparently don't understand how Steam reviews work. Yes, I enjoyed what little of the game is playable. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE GAME because it is mostly UNPLAYABLE. ♥♥♥♥ off.
This game was doomed from the start. The price of entry for a live service game, little marketing, and hoping "by former blizzard devs/founder" would help, means the game had nothing to entice new players to join. It's a pity, cause it had a fun gameplay loop. Would have probably caught lightning in a bottle if it was f2p with cosmetic microtransactions To add to that, in the OCE region, on launch day queues took way too long to pop, and any that did had noticeable lag for me
Most fun I've had in ages. infinitely better with a group of friends. Fast, Super high peaks of action and fun with deep strategy and planning if you choose to. DEVS, SELL THIS GAME IN PACKS OF FOUR AT A DISCOUNT, PLEASE.
All they have to do is make it a free to play model with skins and give currently paid players some currency for it and people will flock to this game like crazy with much more money flowing in. Until then there will never be enough players on the servers so don't buy.
Was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blast for the first 2 or 3 weeks. Then it died. Devs fumbled hard. Big price tag, 0 promo and advertising = very few new players, no MMR (veterans steamrolled everyone in the lobby 95% of the time), etc. There's 11 ppl playing now. Don't ever buy it, just look at some cool videos on YT. Unfortunately, this game will never be playable again
please make it free to play or just very cheap, 9 playing an hour ago, 21 24-hour peak It makes me sad to see what happened to this game, I really liked it. But I can't suggest it to my friends because the players are gone
