Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft

After years it was time for me to face my ultimate challenge Tomb Raider Trilogy, games that could not beat as a kid or beaten some of them with cheats. Note that i had some previous experience so many things in the game are familiar to me. This time though no cheats play these games as intended. First of all i gotta say this remastered version is a great job, and i play with modern controls because i never could stand tank controls. Tomb Raider I & UB Tomb Raider 1 is a straightforward game not easy but no hard either, story is pretty cliche but that's fine.Music and atmosphere are the best parts.The only thing i didn't like is the atlanteans enemies, feels out of place.Unfinished Bussiness is an unnecessary addition, well yeah you get to play some new levels but adds nothing new, also i have to mention that you start without medipacks NOT A SINGLE ONE and you have to fight atlanteans, good luck making progress with starting pistols. Tomb Raider 2 & GM Tomb Raider 2 is another story, backtracking continues from TR1, sometimes is unclear where to go what to do next and you just wandering around aimlessly.Larger focus on combat which is fine by me, open ended areas to explore in comparison to TR1 which were claustrophobic.Music and atmosphere remains the best part.Driving controls are still horrible and feels unresponsive.Near the end of the game it features jump pads, yeah you heard right the worst feature i think i have even seen, half-baked and it feels out of place. Tomb Raider The Golden Mask is a great addition i could say. Yeah it's more of the same as TR2 but the levels are enjoyable. Tomb Raider 3 The game that nearly broke me, starts pretty well but later on it gets tedious.Driving controls are still bad and don't get me started on the kayak. Somehow the game features the worst and best levels combined. TR 3 continues the tradition from the previous games, you get lost easily and is always unclear where to go and what to do next. This game actually features stealth in one level, but it's not implemented well. Another half-baked mechanic. Great music and atmosphere, more Tomb Raiding focus opposed to TR2, minor focus on combat with exceptions. TR 3 has a handfull of boss fights, most of them are easy to defeat unless... you get to the last boss fight. Look it's not easy but not hard either but tell me what a new player is supposed to do without previous knowledge? trial and error, try again from the last save. Overall this Tomb Raider Trilogy is fine if you overlook it's flaws, if it's on discount don't miss it, it's a great adventure sometimes unfair and punishing but in the end it's rewarding.
