TIS-100 is an open-ended programming game by Zachtronics, the creators of SpaceChem and Infinifactory, in which you rewrite corrupted code segments to repair the TIS-100 and unlock its secrets. It’s the assembly language programming game you never asked for!

Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
10 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Sep 10 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

i think therefore i'm not
When it released, I played and completed the levels with great interest because I thought it would help be find a job/do my job. Boy I was so wrong. Now I dont feel motivated. Unique processor architecture to the best of my knowledge. Co-located memroy + compute chips are in the hype right now, who know somebody might make this IRL with more compute and memory.
If you love coding then this is an awesome game. It's kinda like coding in assembly honestly. For Linux users: This is completely playable and it works well. Game meant for programmers, if you don't like coding, you probably won't enjoy the game. There is a manual in the game that explains how to "play it".

I would call this Zach's hardest programming game, because the space and memory restrictions are the tightest here that they are anywhere. On the other hand, the bar is therefore lower (also because it is an earlier project). The final level in the main campaign is a sorting algorithm. Like most of Zach's programming puzzles, I haven't yet finished the bonus campaign, but I come back every once in a while to finish another couple levels. An stimulating puzzle, but I wouldn't recommend you buy this first unless you have a decent amount of experience with especially low-level programming-- it was my first and I'm still surprised I didn't bounce off. I'd recommend Shenzhen I/O (harder) or EXAPUNKS (easier) to start with instead. I love this game though. These are my favorite games. Highly recommended.
nice puzzle game, scratches an itch in my brain
I like this a lot as a person get more into computer concepts. These make for interesting thought exercises as one puzzle leads to the next. The documentation (player manual) is a bit difficult to parse through early on, but starts to make sense after a few reads and solved puzzles.
What it is, and what the other reviews don't tell you
This is a programming game that basically teaches you assembly language. But what they don't tell you is that it's also a horror game, and the dawning dread of what I was putting together still didn't prepare me for what I got this horrid little machine to show me - even though I expected it, even though I could almost imagine it, even though it was ultra-low resolution. There's something about how bleary you are, how late it can get when you're working on projects, that makes it particularly insidious. 8/10 (Would benefit from some playlists). But for those who just can't handle any level of spooky, I figured a warning was in order.
Once you get the hang of it and RTFM it's a pretty neat way to visually learn some lower level programming concepts.
Don't let the fact you're basically programming on a fantasy system that predates cuneiform scare you, if you're a fan of Zachtronics games this one is a classic that is just as satisfying and rewarding as any other.
