Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

About
The island is alive! Your newfound home will change with day/night cycles as you explore and uncover its secrets. Hunt (or be hunted by!) animals for food and an array of mythical enemies, who aren’t necessarily pleased to see you. Get quests from a Mysterious Stranger or find them washed up on the shore. Prepare to trek into a procedurally generated wilderness, with a variety of biomes, for an adventure that’s unique to every player.
Finding the perils of island life too much or just looking to share your building expertise with friends? The Survivalists has you covered! Complete joint adventures, gain loot, trade and ultimately survive together and as you and up to three fellow castaways explore fantastical islands.
If you’re in need of a builder, a lumberjack or even a soldier, the monkeys on the island can be tamed and trained to help you with everyday tasks or back you up on raids to a fanatic camp! The Mimic System means a wide variety of functions can be performed by your cheeky new friends, with monkey management becoming key to surviving the island’s challenges.
The secret to survival is to make the most of the resources around you. Whether that’s piecing together a primitive axe to chop wood or mixing up a refreshing fruit smoothie to keep the hunger at bay, you can discover recipes and expand your options across food, item or structure crafting trees.
Looking for an epic sword to hang on your hut wall or want to lay waste to encroaching hostiles? What you seek could be in one of the many temples scattered around the island. However, getting your hands on the loot won’t be easy so any would-be raiders will need to prepare for their treasure hunting escapades.

Crappy company, just like Ubisoft. Dev's never updated the game, it was just a quick cash grab.
Abandoned with a unfinished roadmap and no mods there was a announcment 15 days after this review so there MAY be hope (its now a DLC so eh)

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Platinei o game: Pontos Positivos: Visual bonito e colorido. Macacos ajudantes o diferencial do jogo.
It's absolutely SHAMEFUL how the devs just didn't really run with this great game, they had something amazing, now after years they do a dlc?? i'm not going to hold my breathe, if they do more consistant updates then yeah maybe.,
The Survivalists is a different take on the survival genre. In the Survivalist you don't need to do all the work yourself, instead the core mechanic of the game is the capturing and training of monkeys who can help you with combat, crafting and building. You take them along during exploration and teach them how to handle various tasks. The game itself is not that different from most games, except for the monkey mechanic. You explore various islands, build a base, craft stronger gear and eventually escape the game. You will need the game wiki to help you through the game though. The Survivalist is more fun to play co-op then it is by yourself. The base price of 25 euro's is way to steep, but if you can pick this up for a good price it's definitely word a shot!
Legit more paid dlcs dropped than gamebreaking bugs fixed since release :/
很好的游戏。上班摸鱼的时候玩,然后你就会发现这游戏比上班累。

This review is based on 100% completion and 50.3 hours of gameplay.
Recommendation:
Would I recommend this game? No, I don’t think I would as it is. I really want to, because there is a decent game here with some good groundwork, but too much of it ends up being frustrating rather than enjoyable. A lot of the core mechanics and lack of QoL really hold it back. At its core, this is a cosy survival crafter that’s easy enough to pick up and chill with, but it comes with a lot of issues. There are also quite a few bugs, things like portals not working properly, combat not registering hits, clipping issues, and monkeys not doing what they’re told. It just adds up over time. The main problem for me is the core gameplay loop. The whole system is built around using monkeys to automate tasks like gathering, crafting, building, and even combat. It’s a cool idea on paper, but in practice it just doesn’t work that well. Monkeys require constant micromanagement. For example, if you set one to gather resources, they’ll only work within a small, unclear range. Even then, they often miss nearby nodes or stop early and say there’s nothing left when there clearly is. If their tools break, they just stop completely, and you won’t know unless you go check. This completely defeats the point of automation and turns it into more work for the player. Storage is another big issue. There’s no proper organisation system, no sorting, no naming chests, no good quick deposit or retrieval. It gets messy very quickly, especially when monkeys are dumping items wherever they want. On top of that, storage has to be within a certain range of crafting benches, but the game never tells you what that range is. So things just don’t work sometimes and you’re left guessing why. Combat is also pretty rough. It feels clunky and unreliable. A big issue is that if an enemy is standing near an object, you’ll often hit the object instead while they can still hit you. Since monkeys are meant to help here as well, it becomes even more frustrating when they don’t focus properly or split targets. You end up having to kite enemies constantly just to make it manageable. A good comparison here for these issues would be Necesse, which has a similar system but handles it much better with stronger QoL. Even taking a few ideas from that would have made a huge difference here. All of this is disappointing because there are some good ideas here, but they’re not executed well. From what I can tell, the game hasn’t had much support for a while outside of the recent DLC, so it doesn’t feel like these systems are going to be improved either. On the positive side, the visuals are nice. The colours are vibrant, consistent, and easy on the eyes. The audio is also solid, and I really liked how the music ramps up when you’re out on the raft. That was a nice touch. As for the story, it’s not really a focus here. I didn’t engage much with the lore or notes because it never really grabbed me. The basic premise is fine, but the ending felt pretty underwhelming. It had potential, especially if they played with the idea of looping or NG+ with how that ended, but as it is, it doesn’t really do anything interesting with it. Overall, this is an ok game with some good ideas, but the execution just isn’t there. It ends up being more frustrating than fun, and it doesn’t really respect your time. The base price is far too high for what you’re getting, so if you do pick it up, wait for a deep sale.
Achievements:
This will be a bit of a grind overall. There are four co-op achievements that require another player, along with a number of collectables and miscellaneous ones. Because it’s a niche game, there aren’t many resources online, but you don’t really need them. Most achievements will come naturally as you progress. The collectables aren’t too bad either. There are more than enough available, but they’re spread across different islands so you’ll need to explore properly. The collector quests can be a bit annoying though. A small tip here: if you’re farming for a specific bone, save before picking it up. If it’s not what you need, exit without saving and try again. For the co-op achievements, just be aware of a couple of things. The labyrinth needs to be one that hasn’t already been completed, and you’ll need to pick up the item at the end. For the quest-related one, you don’t actually need to be the one completing it, just being in the session was enough for it to pop for me. Also, since you’re joining another player’s world, you can bring items and monkeys with you, so it’s worth preparing beforehand. Overall, the achievements are pretty straightforward. It just takes time and a bit of patience. this is complicated. i did really enjoy the game back when i used to play it years ago. But after around 40 hours of play time and making to half way though the game you start getting just emptiness, with nothing left to do. The game is separated into multiple islands, which you eventually get the ability to travel between. But a bunch of the islands feel empty of content, with not much to do or reasons to visit them. The game feels half finished. and was left un-updated for years, has a bunch or bugs, storyline content that you can't actually access cause it's not added yet. and a generally half finished feeling. After years of radio silence, they dropped a hint for new content, only to realest a paid content dlc a few days later. and no new bug fix update. this feels scummy. Im making to review to make known my issues, and if there is shown to be work on fixing the base game i would generally recommend it, even if it was just some bug fix dev. But i can't recommend it in its current state in good faith.
