Tja was soll ich sagen. Auf PS3 und PS4 mindestens 10 mal durchgespielt oder so und auch hier aufm PC ist es ein Meisterwerk. Keine "Ich zahl einfach blind nochmal 60-80 Euro"-Meisterwerk, aber beim Spielen hatte ich unfassbare Nostalgiemomente. Darüberhinaus finde ich es sehr krass, wie viel man aus den alten MoCap Daten von 2010/11/12/13 noch so viel an Mimik herausholen kann. Ich hatte bei den Promobildern ständig eher ne ablehnende Haltung gegenüber dem "Remake-Look", aber beim zocken ist die rundum erneuerte Optik echt ein wahrer Segen. Technisch lief das Game auch sehr gut, wenn auch nicht ganz einwandfrei. In einer Winter-Cutscene glitchte und zuckte ein Waffengurt von Ellies Jagdgewehr in einer Szene durch alle Objekte und war gefühlt überall (es war der Moment, wo sie vor David aufstand, nachdem man ein wenig mehr über ihn erfahren hat, falls die Kenner es verstehen) und hier und da gab es leichte Minifreezes beim Szenenwechsel, aber ansonsten lief alles astrein. Ich finde es dennoch super schade, dass das Remake auch für den PC kein Raytracing bekommen hat. Das ist eine Entscheidung, die ich null nachvollziehen kann. Schon bei der PS5 Version traf es bei mir auf Unverständnis (ein PS5 Exklusiv sollte auch ALLE technischen PS5 Features haben, die die Konsole kann), beim PC aber noch mehr. Sooo viele Cube-Maps und Fake Reflektionen sahen selbst auf den höchsten Settings absolut hässlich aus und stachen immer heraus, weil der Rest des Spiel phänomenal gut aussieht. Ein letzter Kritikpunkt wäre da noch der fehlende Multiplayer und dass das Remake keinen Single Player Survival Modus hat, wie es in Teil 2 einen gibt. Zum Schluss aber muss ich sagen, dass ich wieder mal ne tolle Zeit mit dem Game hatte. All meine negativen Punkte sind Meckern auf allerhöchstem Niveau und sollten niemanden ernsthaft abschrecken dieses Meisterwerk an Story zu erleben. Auch 13 Jahre später nach all der Zeit haben die Geschichte und die Charaktere 0,0 an Qualität verloren. Es ist ein Kult-Game, welches die Videospielbranche nachhaltig geprägt hat und zwar zu Recht.
