Very nice game never expected
The Gunk is a solid, well-made game from start to finish. It may not be a masterpiece or the kind of title that ends up on many "Top 10 Games of All Time" lists, and it certainly isn't a genre-defining experience. What it does deliver is a well-paced story, charming stylized visuals, and about ten hours of consistently enjoyable gameplay built around environmental puzzles, light exploration, and just enough action to keep things engaging. It never tries to be more than it is, and that's part of its charm.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Belle petite aventure sur une planète verdoyante avec de beau décors (quoi qu'un peu courte (5-6h). Allégorie avec la frénésie de l'humanité sur la terre bien trouvée.

Platformer with some light puzzles that's ultimately about cleaning off polution from a planet. Its fun and cute and you can finish it pretty quick (7 ish hours for me).
"The Gunk" is a little, relatively short adventure that you will easily love and will enjoy to explore. In general it is relaxing and not to fast paced, which I loved as a good variety for all the fast games (and a stressful daily routine). You head out and explore an unknown planet that has been infected by "the Gunk" which you suck in like with a vacuum cleaner. It's pretty unrealistic, but I gave it up for the game that in this universe this is possible. The relaxing part is, that way you get to know the planet more and more. Even more relaxing is, the game in general is not about fighting opponents, but solving small puzzles. While doing that, yes, you can die, but not really, since the autosave points are so close and forgiving, you can't really get frustrated. The only part is, when you think you solved a puzzle and it doesn't work, which happened to me sometimes, but then I looked it up and I got the right solution, but a tiny part went wrong (like an explosion just 1 meter too far away to really reach everything that should explode). Also, the characters have a neat dynamic, the crew is like an old couple and they tease each other a lot. But sometimes they get really upset about character traits that don't help the situation - but in the end they fix everything. The third character is a service robot that merely has one phrase, but Rani, the main character, understands all he wants to say. The only pity is that you explore the planet only on your own, there could have been a chapter where Rani is accompanied by her pilot Becks. But that's really peanuts. The graphics is nice and the planet looks amazing, though it could have been just a bit more shiny. The music comes along very smoothly while exploring - slow strings playing in the background, but still emotional. And when the story is getting more intense like in a cut scene, it rises. Very well done! So, if you look for a hardcore gaming experience, a really big story or fast pacing, this is not for you. If you love to explore a beautiful planet, to puzzle a bit and to follow funny dialogues while relaxing, this is for you. It was a great game for me!
Nice and chill game with a good story and beautifull graphics. Took me 8 hours for 100% achievments, so recomend it for achieve hunters. (buy on sale only, doesn't deserve the full price)
