Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5/day in the week to Jul 30 → 4.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Install OpenMW, pick one of the semi-automatic mod packs from modding-openmw, come up with some memorable roleplaying idea and go exploring. Leave completionist and minmaxing mindsets out of it and just try to figure out what kind of adventurer you are. If there's some obvious feature lacking, then in 2026 it's resolved by either picking another mod pack, finding another source of curated mod packs or installing a mod manually. Or waiting a bit for new mods to arrive. Even the difficulty of mod installation is handled by community tools (try Skeleton Key for example). Sure, it's not exactly a fantasy adventurer simulator like Daggerfall, Devil Spire Falls or DF's Adventure Mode - here the world is visibly scaled down, offers the same content each time and is mostly static. But thanks to the decades of modding the sheer content size is just insane and its quality is sublime (for its genre anyway). With largest mod packs it comes to a point of probably having more than 500 hours of content (both new and enhanced old), none of which is randomized or procedurally generated. You can pick a few handwritten, massive and somewhat branching quest/faction lines, spend dozens of hours finishing them and "retire" (or continue playing an overleveled power fantasy). Then start a new character, get into a different adventure, and then again, and again, and - oh look, a new huge mod! - again and again. The weakest part is probably having restricted options for early game due to a limited number of organically accessible early-game dungeons. But this is somewhat mediated by Tamriel Rebuilt (which has its own big low-level area) and its included in most of modpacks. If aforementioned games are just too same-y and become too generic too fast; if you played a long time ago; if you tried it and wished it was more approachable and modern; if you've seen everything the base game has to offer - if you meet any of these conditions - install modded OpenMW. Avoid if you absolutely hate some character-skill-based combat (instead of purely player-skill-based), if you're completely allergic to some Bethesda open-world jank or if you're interested only in pure Western medieval fantasy settings.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

The OG weird, hardcore, highly frictional open world classic. I've installed it many times, and first played it back on the original Xbox. Put in hundreds of hours across multiple platforms, still haven't beaten it, yet still come back to it more often than I do with anything modern. Would fail 9999 attack rolls on a mudcrab again.

It's Morrowind. Best game ever. And the incredible modding community keeps expanding and refining Morrowind over 20 years later.
A lot of variety in how one makes one's character and also in how one handles the quests.
Delightful Experience
The greatest RPG/Game of all time. The world of Morrowind is so much more fleshed out and immersive than any other, especially if you install the phenomenal Tamriel Rebuilt mod.
Absolutely amazing, I would recommend OpenMW as opposed to vanilla. Some people don’t like the combat, but once you get into it, you start to really appreciate it. The world is excellent, truly feels like another world (thanks Michel Kirkbride) unlike Oblivion which is very generic by comparison. Loads of mods that expand the game, so even if you do every last quest in the vanilla game, hours more content is but an install away. Truly the best Elder Scrolls game. Thanks Todd
