In Memoria, players travel through different time periods, following two distinct protagonists: Sadja, a southern princess who wants to be a war hero, and Geron, a bird catcher who wants to lift a curse from his girlfriend.

My opinion of the game is in the middle. Its not good nor bad. Just average. I almost game it a recommandation but there are so much point and click adventures that are more fun, that I would only play it, if you run out of alternatives. What I didnt like about the game: * The main Charakter is extremly borring. We has no charme, no interessting lines. Take Rufus form Deponia for example, he has always funny lines. I think a point and click adventure needs an interessting protagonist. We explore the world with him. If he doesnt say interessting stuff, when we click on objects or interact with them, then why would you even click on something? Normally I try to click on everything to see the interactions. In this game there where times where I was in a room full of things and just wanted to live without clicking on anything. There is a part in the game where it switches to a female character in a cave, this character was much more interessting than the main charakter. Also the cave part had some feeling of danger which the rest of the game lacks. * The artstyle: its borring. This game looks like any average Doungeon und Dragon game. It has nothing special about it. Look for example at the Amanita Design games and how creative there artstyles look. * Charme: the game lacks its own identity or charme. Its just about a wizzard in a middle age word. There are thousand RPG Games in a similar setting. * Story structure: i don't like the dramaturgical structure of the game. It starts with the main character wanting to save someone. Something like this only hits emotional if you first show the realtionship between both. Like you need to show the bond between the characters, then bring one in danger and have the other save him, Its also not a great concept. Because thats how most point and click adventures start. Someone needs to be saved so we have a reason to go out. What I liked about the game: * The point and click things you have to do are often fun. But can also be borring. * I liked the part where you are in a cave in the beginning. Its more exciting then the rest of the game.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Memoria stands as a high-water mark for the point-and-click genre, delivering a masterfully woven narrative that expands upon the lore of The Dark Eye universe. The game’s dual-protagonist structure allows for a complex, centuries-spanning mystery that is both emotionally resonant and intellectually stimulating. Visually, the hand-painted backgrounds are breathtaking, capturing a sense of high-fantasy wonder that perfectly complements the melancholic and mysterious tone of the writing. It is a rare sequel that not only surpasses its predecessor in scope but also manages to tell a poignant, standalone story about legacy and the power of memory. The gameplay is elevated by clever, context-sensitive puzzles that feel integrated into the world rather than existing as arbitrary roadblocks. The introduction of unique magical abilities for the protagonists adds a fresh layer of interaction, encouraging players to think creatively within the game's established logic. Furthermore, the voice acting and orchestral score provide a cinematic quality that pulls the player deeper into the unfolding tragedy. For fans of narrative-driven adventure games, Memoria is an essential experience that proves the genre is still capable of reaching incredible heights of storytelling and artistic craftsmanship.
The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav, Memoria

Fantastic sequel to The Chains of Satinav ! Highly recommened, altough for Windows 11 make sure not to enable texture compression and HD movies (especially on nVidia Cards) and set the .exe to Windows 7 compatibility with DPI and all other relevant settings checked except run as admin.
The story was very interesting and I am glad to have played it just for that, but the puzzles were so nonsensical that I basically used a guide through the whole game. I have played quite a few Daedalic and Rusty Lake games, so I am not a complete idiot, but some puzzles I read about in the guide I would never have figured out. So yeah, good story, but for me, the puzzles made no sense. Of course not all of them, but quite a few. I guess everyone has that one game they can't fathom! :D
