Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
9/10 Definitely worth playing, both for the tactical squad combat and for the theme. If you enjoy the aesthetic of the time period, it's a wonderful tie-in to the XCOM world that I would risk calling a must-try for XCOM fans.
This game has been sitting in my Library for years before I decided to check it out. Now, after completing it for the first time I have to say that it's not a bad game, though I came in without playing any other XCOM games before it. You do the same cover-shooting throughout the entire game, better equipment just make things faster as you're progressing with your journey. The story was intriguing, though I feel like it got cut short by the end.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I play it sometimes in my spare time, I was looking for something for a single player with an immersive story and this one just fit in well, very recommended, also as an advise, play it with headphones.
Okay this is one where i think Steam would benefit from a number score instead of just good or bad but it is a bad game so that's what ill go with it is not 1/10 probably like 4/10 if you really really like cover shooters you may get some interest from this but their are better. So the game itself is essentially a really light version of XCOM with essentially Mass Effect 2 gameplay and i specify 2 cos it feels much much worse than most cover shooters the reticle sucks the guns suck, the movement is janky and the squad commands while quite advanced compared to ME2 are about as limited in the abilities section but unlike ME2 i do not believe there is an auto powers button so you have to babysit your 2 idiots or all they do is get killed, so that's the cover shooting and squad mechanics its pretty poor but i played through games with bad gameplay cos i enjoy the setting or the characters but this game gives very little there the main guy is some boring generic agent with a 'dark' past and your squad are just a bunch of 1 of 10 faces one of whom has Garrus from ME's voice actor which is quite funny but regardless for a squad based game 10 generic men face models and a pretty terrible power tree is really not enough for me to care you cant even change the hair or give them a helmet or hell make one a woman like the absolute basic XCOM squad customisation is just not there its painfully lazy cos id love to play a squad based shooter with a fully customisable party like Dragon Quest 9 or something but his is so far from that its a joke its not like they don't have the ability to do it there are other characters in the game with different hair, hats, clothes and genders. All in all this game just takes elements from cover shooters. squad mechanics and XCOM itself ands makes them worse and the graphics holy hell for a 2013 game it looks worse than any other game that year i played Batman Arkham Origins this year also a spin off from a popular maim series game with less budget and that looked 10000x better this game is ugly, i do not usually complain about graphics but the cutscenes look worse than gameplay its so bizarre to know this game is from 2013 when it looks worse than classic halo 3 in most areas the only positive i have is that there are some funky environmental stuff with the seeds and unlike XCOM you can see around you so you get to see spaceships and tanks blowing up or whatever that's pretty nice and it has great glass physics like really really good it doesn't just shatter in one piece it breaks where you shoot it so you get holes in it like i imagine you would in reality. Anyway do not buy this game i got it in a humble bundle years ago but it is pretty lame just play Mass Effect 3 hang out with Garrus and Liara rather than agent generic face and agent generic face.
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified does not really feel like a game from the XCOM series. But it has many familiar elements from other games, and in the end it is a somewhat fun and interesting game. In gameplay, it is a third-person shooter that looks a lot like Mass Effect, but with a more advanced tactical system. This system works because your teammates have almost zero ai. Without your commands they are completely useless. During the first half of the game this is very annoying, but after the middle of the game, when you and your squad get more effective abilities, playing becomes more interesting. Using the right abilities makes fights much easier. The strategic mode is quite weak. You can hire agents and send them on missions that they do on their own, and you can also take part in a few side missions. But there is not much point in doing that. The reward is usually useless equipment or a new agent, and you rarely need to change agents during the campaign. Still, these missions add some variety because they take place in different locations than the main story. The story is not very engaging. I was curious to see how it would end, but the characters are boring and have no charisma, so the emotional moments do not work. What I really liked was the 1960s atmosphere and the secret organization theme, which reminds me of Men in Black or The X-Files. The only real downside is the music while there are some nice tracks, I wish there were more licensed songs from that era. Overall, The Bureau is hard to call an outstanding game it’s more of a typical 6/10 title. Everything is done well enough not to be bad, but nothing truly stands out either. Still, it’s an enjoyable experience, especially if you grab it at a good discount.
