Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I totally understand why XCOM fans don't like this game. As most of the players, I remember the great trailers the game had very well. Look them up, the whole premise felt like somekind of a Fallout game set pre nuclear war. The looks changed drastically for some reason during the development. It's not a AAA banger, but it's a fairly good, yet clunky 3rd person squad shooter, serving as somekind of prequel to the 2K XCOM series. It plays like a Mass Effect clone set in the 60's with aliens. After 8 years I gave it another try and found it still to be entertaining, although the gameplay is pretty streamlined and dated, but the story is still pretty good and I vividly remember the well executed plot twist towards the end, So my current mood is pretty optimistic. If you're okay with clunky gameplay and want to experience a nicely written alien invasion story set in the 1960's, check it out, when it's in a sale. At the time I'm writing this review, it's on sale for 3.99 €, which is absolutely fine. Currently I'm playing it on a Windows 10 desktop PC and it didn't crash once.
If your like classic XCOM this might not be the game for you. It changes from the traditional top downish style into a third person shooter. The story overall is decent it kept me going and my god the TWISTS were good. But on higher difficulties the game is infuriating, and the friendly AI is meh for lack of a better word. They will barely scrap by in a fight without you shooting an enemy with them. The gun-play is good but the squad mechanic just feels tapped on, Once you find 2 agents and max them out there's no reason to change them because its really hard to let your squad mates actually die. Overall -Pros- Decent story Decent gunplay Good characters -Cons- Buggy Choices feel inconsequential. Get this game on sale, at most 8 hours of content if you do all the side missions and maybe 30 more minutes if you do the investigations. DO NOT GET THE DLC
I loved the modern XCOM strategy game and like sci-fi shooters, so I was hoping this would be a great mix of things. Unfortunately the game didn't run very well, and the visuals didn't have the appeal of the other XCOM titles. Probably one of the biggest things was how clunky the controls felt, feels like none of the actions were smooth.
