About

14th-century Europe. Bloody conflicts sweep the lands, and the Black Death comes for the survivors. It's a moment of weakness - and that's all they needed. Vampires seize their opportunity to walk out of the shadows and claim what they've been denied for centuries: freedom, and the power that comes with it. Other creatures of the night follow their lead. Legends turn into reality, and history as we know it will never be the same.
You play as Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night. Fight for your humanity or embrace the cursed powers to save your family. Whatever your choice, the question stands: is your soul worth the lives of those you love?

Experience and shape the plot the way you want. Embark on the quest to save your family, or swear revenge on your sire and destroy everyone standing in your way. Discover ancient secrets lurking in the valley. Rush in head first or risk taking time to prepare. Go alone or search for friends and forge unlikely alliances.

Experience two different gameplay loops, offering distinct abilities to choose from, mysteries to uncover, and varying ways to achieve your goals. Experiment with different approaches and discover how the world reacts to your actions.

Every action - and inaction - shapes the world around you. Your family’s days are numbered, and every time you take on a quest, time moves forward, compelling you closer to the end. Choose carefully whom to help and whom to leave behind. You will not have time for everyone. The world waits for no one. And neither does the villain.

Defy gravity, become a brutal force of nature, and use your supernatural skills as a vampire. Or raise your sword, and employ powerful magic to take on opponents as a human. Experiment and adapt as your form changes during the day and night; each has its strengths and weaknesses.

Venture through the hand-crafted open world and discover all it has to offer. Roam through the lush forests, the vast plains, the treacherous swamps, the steep mountaintops, and the medieval settlements. Explore forgotten ruins, find remnants of an ancient civilization, and uncover truths that should probably remain hidden.

Experience the beginning of a brand-new saga built with love for the role-playing genre. Immerse yourself in a visually stunning world powered by the next-gen Unreal Engine 5.

Reviews
I have now played nearly 5 hours of **The Blood of Dawnwalker** And i honestly do not recommend it...Maybe when it is on sale.. Intro is Good..but so long you dont actually experience how the game actually works before it is over.. The combat is inspired by For honor, but it never considered how it is fighting against multiple enemies, and while I can -feel- there is a system to crack, it is so frustrating that it makes me revisit Kingdom Come, combat vs multiple enemies... just..frustrating.. and difficult despite it feeling like it shouldn't be. The time aspect of the game feel...added on without truly thinking about it? The fact time passes by multiple segments when ever you level up certain abilities feel really odd, and feel like you are getting punished for leveling up..More then already going to certain location to do it. The story is ...extremely secondary to the game, or at least it feels like that, because the quest you leave the starting zone with, locks after a certain point untill you have done enough open world stuff to be more known.. So it feels like the open world came first..making it feel more like an odd vampire survival game. The item system is..really odd? How you have to change equipment based on day and night, but there isn't multiple item load outs, you have to inspect your gear when ever time changes from day or night..and reequip it..and you cannot do this ahead of time.. it ..just feel like something that a quick QoL update should fix, and something testers should had commented on. Dialog is as you expect, Mass effect, or cyperpunk level, limited, but does enough for the game.. but, as many, if not all, modern RPG's, you aren't playing your character, you are playing Coen, first and foremost..and have to read who he is to understand most of the dialog. Some very odd choices, like your abilities are separated into Day and night, and there is -zero- overlap between them.. Meaning your || magic || or Swordmenship, cannot be used at night, and your vampiric abilities cannot aid you at day time.. This EVEN include overworld stuff, meaning if you find a ritual site that require a day time ability, you -have- to wait till daytime.. The game wanna be witcher but vampire european feel.. but it just is significantly less pulished, and honestly Dragon Age 2, or Mass effect 2, kinda feel degrees of pulish.. it just is less then one would except.. .. I am still gonna be playing it, because the combat system feel like one of those -great when you crack it- so i wanna keep trying to understand it..so it isn't just a mean of frustration when ever there is more then 1 enemy on the screen... It have that "If i can just understand this fully, this seem amazing" kinda feel...but maybe this is just copium, and there isn't more to understand with it...

POCKET SAND!!!
This game has the most annoying technical controls of any game I've played in a long time. Totally broke immersion.
I gave this good little try. The story has a lot of potential but the pacing and execution is blah. One example is that the sword just floats off Coens belt and just looks bad. Moving around in the game feels laborious and clunky, dragging you out of any immersion. I hope they fix this in post but very disappointed in the price tag for this warm vomit of a game
This game has great a great story, good setting and premise, but the combat ruins everything. If you are in single combat, the game is fine. But if you have more than 2 enemies at the same time it is retardedly stupid. I play k&m and I will try and enter a group fight, move towards the enemy I want to hit, and the game will say, oh you want to target the enemy furthest away from you, cool. So then I swing next to an enemy and then get hit cause only the closest enemy attacks you. Ok so i need to lock onto an enemy then right. Great, until the game auto switches the target for some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason. This game does not need an auto target. Let me turn it off. JFC. Then there is the consumables and abilities. Having all of them hooked to 1-4 and having to switch using q in battle while i am blocking and can't take my eyes off the middle of the screen is horrible. Am i healing or am I trying to use a ability? I don't know since 5 guys are constantly swinging at me and when I dodge I run into an invisible ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wall and get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hit. Why are there ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ invisible walls during ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ combat? This is an open world game, i should be able to use the terrain to my advantage. And add to that when I am running around the map and an enemy aggros on me Coen ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stops and squares up. I don't want to fight the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pigs but the game won't let me just run away for some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumbass reason. This game may have former Witcher developers but they apparently forgot how to handle combat. If you play this on easy mode just for the story it is probably a 9/10, but I like games that are slightly challenging. So I try and play on harder difficulties, but 90% of the difficulty in this game is from ♥♥♥♥♥♥ combat targeting. I want to fight enemies, not the game itself.
It is good, I enjoyed it, but it does not justify the price tag. This is a very short game with a lot of filler. People were freaking out about the 30 day time limit but I found myself with nothing else to do before the time limit even ended, so I skipped time to do the final quest. There is no reason to do a lot of the activities outside of the main quest and actually fleshed out side quests (which are excellent) so I found myself ignoring a lot of them about halfway through my playthrough. It's very easy to get the best swords and best armor in the game so there's no reason to do any of the creature den activities scattered throughout the map. It's very easy and fast to finish all the court quests but even after you do, the activities for each of the vampires still remain on the map and offer nothing to the game. Enemy variety is also extremely lacking. Lots of wolves, lots of the same skinwalker-type miniboss everywhere. I did enjoy this game but it feels like a $25 game and the filler content really makes it feel bloated in a bad way. Still, I would recommend it if you can get it on sale.
