Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

This is my first Tales game and I really like the ideas they're trying to pull off with the story here. Emphasis on "ideas" because the execution is nnnnot the best. Another sore point is the equipment and upgrade system they got going on. I still have NO idea what they were trying to pull off and thankfully it's entirely optional on normal difficulty. Progression-wise I like the semi-open world approach. Soundtrack's good. Combat is pretty cool with Armatizing but I dislike the one human-one seraph party system. 7/10.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 13: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is my first Tales game so I didn't have any expectations going in. It is not very often a JRPG can hold my attention for this long. Usually I get bored 6 to 10 hours in because of the combat, tediousness and etc. The action combat here reminds me of Xenoblades but I found that games combat too passive and boring, whereas this one you're pressing buttons and moving all the time, so my unga bunga brain is satisfied. One of the best part is no random encounters, which is a HUGE W for any RPG of this kind, being able to choose your encounters really makes it less tedious than it would've been. It also holds up on the story, world and characters department. I found the concepts this world works on interesting enough, and they never got too confusing, or boring since they throw some curveballs here and there. This game also has the most character interactions I have seen out of any JRPG (granted I haven't played THAT many of them), a lot of them are optional, so if you like the characters there are a lot of banter to look forward to and if you don't you can just skip. The story itself is enjoyable, though it dragged on a bit too much at the end for my liking. There are not many bad things I can say about anything, just some nitpicky stuff here and there. I started with the English voices first, but after like an hour I couldn't take how awkward it sounded and switched over to Japanese. Also it could use a lot less of cutscene>walk for 10 seconds>another cutscene, I still have no idea why games do this. TL;DR: Very enjoyable even if you find most JRPG's boring
fun game combat weird
Got this and got sucked right into the game loop. Classic "Tales of" action with all the modern conveniences like a mini-map, a show current quest button, and save point warping. This game periodically goes on sale for $5 now which is an amazing price for a Tales game. Don't pass it up.
Edit: This review was written prior to finding fixes for a multitude of issues. I have since found the fixes. None of them were easy fixes however. I won't change what I said but I will change my recommendation. I will say that if you plan on playing this game expect complications. It's better to be pleasantly surprised then horribly disappointed. I love the tales series. I started playing them back in Tales of Destiny era. I've played just about every one of them except those android mobile games. Even bought a 3DS to play Tales of Hearts and a vita SOLELY to play Tales of Hearts R on. I even learned to read Japanese to play the PSP tales games. I'm a fan of the series. Which is why this is so painful to have to write. I don't know what went wrong with this game being brought over to the PC but something went wrong. Horribly, horribly wrong. This will probably be the first game I have ever reviewed starting with the Cons first. Even asset flip drivel I have started with the Pros first but this? It doesn't deserve it. That being said let's get into it. First off the Cons: Bugs. So many bugs. The game wouldn't even start when I first got it. Hung completely up at start and even after 47 hours of trying every fix I could find or think of nothing worked. I even went to a friends house and tried installing it on 4 different PCs and everyone of them didn't work on launch day. Even on a clean install of Windows. We tried everything we could possibly think of and nothing worked. We had to wait until after the patch to get the game to load. After that things actually went down hill if you can imagine. Game crash after crash after crash. Got so fed up with it that I think in 2021 I stopped playing it without being able to complete it. So today I gave it the old college try again. Let's just say that up until writing this review that my experience hasn't been optimal. From "the game initially installing with a config file that had the resolution set to unreasonably high levels that caused the game to load to a black screen" to "You better hope your save data does not get corrupted or the game will crash and you'll never be able to use the sync function to backup your saves again." Yea.. I've run into several problems. I don't why this particular game is so cursed for me. I own Arise, Berseria, Symphonia and Vesperia as well and I have not had the problems I have had out of this game. Edit: Thanks to the community and several helpful friends I have gotten most of my issues with this game fixed and I can probably play it without crashes now so I am changing my recommendation.
