Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Fun
Yikes, I have a lot of feelings on this game. I'd recommend it if you've never played the originals, it's by far the most accessible entry point into the franchise. I do recommend using walkthroughs if you get stuck, because the old school nature of the game means you really have to think before making decisions. The controls feel great and the subtle changes they made to gameplay help introduce new players to the story and world. I think the original System Shock is one of the best video games ever made, incredible villain, incredible gameplay that matches what the story is trying to say, a 10/10 in every category for me. This game is a really hard one for me to score. I like about 90% of what they did, but
the final level and the SHODAN fight completely ruined it for me. The final area is meant to feel like you're inside SHODAN's cocoon, a fusion of biology and metal pulsing through the halls. The original's final boss battle was perfection precisely because of that logic. Instead, what we get here feels like modern game design being mashed into something that was always far more intellectual than that. The original made perfect sense ending in cyberspace. Having the player magically armed with weapons, shooting at platforms SHODAN herself would have had to construct for you, it makes no sense within her character or the world's internal logic. It just kills the immersion. The dialogue at that point is also painful, cringey and unnecessary. Instead of facing an intelligent god, I felt like I was fighting a dunce, which perhaps tracks if you've been destroying her nodes all game, but it still wasn't what I wanted from that moment. On top of all that, the game had a frustrating number of bugs throughout, enemies not taking damage, items disappearing, inventory wiping. These feel like they should be patchable, and the game has received a ton of patches, yet here we are.
Outside of those criticisms, this is a great game for newcomers to the franchise and it's nice to finally have an HD remake; although, its quite limited due to the size of the studio. That said, I'll personally be sticking to the originals. My bigger wish is that this had received the budget and direction of the Dead Space remakes, something next gen, without the pixel art style. That aesthetic was actually my initial reason for passing on this game, though I'm glad I came around, because the weapon designs, enemy designs and level design, for the most part, are genuinely spot on. I'd love to see a proper remake of the second game someday, and even another attempt at this one, but I imagine that's wishful thinking for now.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 15: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I only player 2 hours but I am already glad to see improvements from things I found annoying in the demo, pretty much everything is better compared to it. As much as I liked the game the main reason I bought was the very generous very thorough demo that let me play the entire first level (3.3 hours! Albeit I played at a very relaxed pace), even if at a lesser updated state than the current version as even the level design is slightly different. Thanks for not treating customers like thieves and giving us plenty of opportunity to try out things before we decide on a purchase. Had a lot of fun in the demo gonna have more fun now as well.
Honestly surprised at how much I enjoyed this game. I still think System Shock 2 is a masterpiece so I wasnt expecting it to be on that level. However, I still found this remake of the first game to be a blast. I would give this a 8/10. Really fun, would be even better if it had coop.
This game is a must for any Sci-fi action fan.
It's just so good game.
Jogo maravilhoso, não te dá missões, você tem que descobrir nos áudios e documentos o que tem que fazer, os inimigos são uma ameaça real, e a sensação de apreensão e claustrofobia é incrível.

Excellent game. Dripping with atmosphere. Shodan, the color palette used, and they nailed the loneliness felt onboard this space station. Few old-school left over mechanics and 2 spots felt unintuitive. But I was expecting to get lost and wander the halls multiple times. Exactly what I wanted when I settled into this games. Thank you Nightdive for such a wonderful experience.
I bought this game because a 1:1 VR mod with physical interactions and full-body IK just released. An immersive sim that doesn't hold your hand, where you have to figure out every step as you go, is an incredibly compelling VR experience. Being lost and unsure of what to do next honestly fits the game's tone and setting perfectly. Solving problems with your own two hands, blasting cyborgs to bits, and smashing mutant skulls as you fight to escape a prison orbiting Saturn? That's the VR game I've been waiting for.
