In 2013 the world was devastated by an apocalyptic event, annihilating almost all mankind and turning the Earth's surface into a poisonous wasteland. A handful of survivors took refuge in the depths of the Moscow underground, and human civilization entered a new Dark Age. The year is 2033.

We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 44.14/day in the week to Aug 12 → 52.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A lot of negative reviews I see seem to focus on how the Redux compares to the original, issues with Deep Silver/Epic, or just say it sucks. I played about 20 minutes of the original 8 years ago and remember none of it, and don't care about whatever issues there are with the companies, so I'll just give my thoughts on the game on its own. First, the parts of the game I enjoyed. The weapon customization stuff is cool, and I did enjoy the different feeling of all the guns. While I would absolutely not say the human AI was intelligent, I did enjoy getting to sneak around and pick off the human enemies from the shadows. The world is interesting, and the game looks quite nice. Now, the parts I don't like. I played through on survival ranger. From what I experienced, you can lump any given part of the game into one of two general categories: fighting mutants, or fighting humans. There's also a fair bit of cinematic slog, which the fans will bill to you as its engaging story. I won't comment on the quality of the story, because frankly, I was more interested in the gameplay experience. Fighting humans is fun. There is not enough of it. This keeps you from realising the shallowness of it due to the brain damaged AI, but it also means that there is less fun in the game. Fighting mutants is tedious. A lot of the time you are fighting mutants, you will be fighting alongside allies. These allies are invincible and have infinite ammo. This combined with the emphasis on resource management and the large amount of damage required to kill mutants means that, whenever you are with an ally, the most effective strategy is going to be sitting in a corner while they kill everything. I find this to be bad game design. When you are dealing with mutants and do not have allies, the most effective strategy is usually to sprint through the level as fast as possible, so that the AI of the mutants cannot keep up with you. This also sucks, but fighting the mutants usually just winds up being more annoying than its worth, and depletes your resources to boot. Side mechanics tend not to be implemented very well. For example, the trade system. The ammo as currency system is a very interesting idea, on its face. In practice, it costs so much to buy anything and you get so little in return for selling ammo and weapons that you are dissuaded from doing anything but buying the occasional filter or medkit. I was intrigued by the airgun that fires ball bearings, but found that I had to sell everything I had to afford it. After doing so, I immediately discovered the exact same gun lying around for free once I entered the next area, and also discovered that ball bearings are a very rare form of ammunition out in the field. Essentially, I'd done nothing but gimp myself for no benefit. Buying and customizing weapons seems to be quite pointless. My fun peaked shooting up people in Black Station. Past that, the game seemed to do nothing but become more and more frustrating, reaching a peak with the library. The librarians sound incredibly annoying and can tank over 10 knives thrown directly into their face. Sneaking around them is a chore. Again, the strategy was simply to sprint past them. After a few more sections that primarily relied on letting my companions kill all of the monsters, I reached the end, which was mostly cinematics and scripted events with very little satisfying gameplay. Oh, and before I forget, the game is not especially polished from a technical perspective. It has insanely long load times that eat up all of your RAM, sometimes to the point of crashing itself and other programs. Several times, I was attacked by a librarian and had the game instantly crash. Towards the end, there was a table with a heap of loot on it which would instantly crash the game whenever I picked up a certain item. At one point, I was fighting off hordes of mutants with some allies, and the fight just seemed to stop. I only realised what had happened after much searching around: one of the mutants had phased through a solid wall, and the game would not progress until it was shot dead. Thankfully, it was more than willing to phase back through it when I walked by in order to attack me. This is a game that feels as if it has a lot of potential and promises a lot of fun, but never really delivers. I'd imagine other games in the series have probably improved greatly on the formula. This one is not worth your time. Skip it.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

One of the most difficult games, worth it. Based on a book too. Nice graphics and really realistic regarding ammunitions quantity
Metro Redux 2033 is a journey through the metro of a devastated Moscow manages to immerse in an oppressive world, where the stations function as small societies opposed to each other and the tunnels are full of mutants, human factions and threats that often feel more unsettling for what they suggest than for what they show, the combination of survival, horror, exploration, stealth and combat works especially well when the game forces you to manage ammunition, mask filters and resources, making every outing to the surface or incursion into an abandoned tunnel carry real tension, the story does not rely solely on big cinematic scenes, many of the best moments are in the ambient conversations, the living conditions inside the stations and the small details that make you feel this world continues to exist beyond Artyom, however, the game loses points for its lack of technical polish. Despite some texture issues, unexpected crashes, and environmental glitches—like stairs that behave strangely and cause unfair damage or death—the game's strengths far outweigh its flaws. These technical problems aren't isolated, as others have reported crashes when loading saves or reaching certain points. Additionally, inconsistent AI, physics, and stealth detection can occasionally break the otherwise strong immersion. Even so, the exceptional atmosphere, distinct art direction, and engaging story about fear and survival make it a memorable experience. While technical errors hold it back from a higher score, better stability and polish could easily push it into the 9 range.
This remaster changes a lot more than I expected. I initially thought it was just the same game running on a new engine with improved lighting, but there are actually many differences in this version. The notes scattered throughout the world gave me a fresh perspective on a story I already knew. Having the updated gameplay from its successor is a welcome addition, but there too many changes compared to the original. The new lighting completely changes the atmosphere of many scenes, and some areas have been redesigned or even expanded with new sections. This version is just as good as the original. But the original should still be available for anyone who wants the complete experience. At the very least, it should be included alongside the redux.
Очень хорошая и атмосферная часть метро. Я с удовольствием проходил её и делал на 100% достижений. И не жрал жёлтый снег:D
An interesting post apocalyptic game set in Moscow metro. I like it
Great story not nearly as good narration especially because the game fails to make you understand that Artyom is misunderstanding The Dark Ones and that he is in the wrong. Hated the fact that Artyom is mute during gameplay even though he's a talkative person in the novel which this game is inspired from. Gameplay is pretty good though. 7.5/10
