Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 17 → 1.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Sword of the Sea is an absolutely gorgeous experience that feels like exploring a whimsical dream, if you've played Abzu or Journey you'll feel right at home. You're a nameless protagonist that uses a sword as a hoverboard (hoversword?) carving up deserts and icey mountains as the sand/snow beneath you undulate like waves. You'll get to certain areas where you stab your sword in, turning parts of said sand and snow into oceans and rivers you can peer into and see marine life, that marine life will also come forth from the waves and take to the skies flying around and guiding you forward. You also unlock tricks by collecting these golden triangle shapes and trading them into a Merchant that pops up every now and then. The tricks aren't necessary for progression, but give you more to do. There's also skate-park like challenge rooms that let you try for a high score a la Tony Hawk. My only complaint is that it could get really hitchy and bogged down framerate wise on the Steam Machine, it's also over quite quickly. I spent a good deal of time just messing around and exploring and still saw the credits in 3 hours. That being said,, still a worthwhile experience.

Another great game from Giant Squid! Sword of the Sea brings inspiration from both Journey and Abzü that create a combination of beautiful visual design, minimalist user interface, smooth movements, memorable music and a heroes' journey familiar to the developers previous projects. It was great to see the ¨Wanderer¨ from The Pathless make an appearance in the game as well.
Just wow. What a spectacle.
Art at its finest
What a journey. The controls were smooth, the music was amazing, I understand completely understand how this game got a Grammy for it's OST. The way my heart stopped at some of the visuals. Absolutely stellar. Sometimes the more "game" elements felt almost out of place? I loved every moment I played though.
This was a nice and fun relaxing game. Might come back to 100% it later
10/10 Sword of the Sea is a breathtaking experience that blends stunning visuals, fluid movement, and an emotional atmosphere into something truly special. Gliding across vast dunes and ancient ruins is both relaxing and exhilarating, making exploration a constant joy. The game's gorgeous art direction and haunting soundtrack create an immersive world, while its subtle environmental storytelling gives the adventure real emotional depth. It feels like the culmination of Giant Squid's creative journey. It builds on the sense of wonder found in ABZÛ, the evocative environmental storytelling of The Pathless, and the studio's unmistakable artistic vision, bringing those strengths together into their most refined work yet.
