An overall splendid game
Sunless Sea is a fun, though nerve-wracking game that tests your ability to think through the long game as well as what might be morally right over the long term. The game can be a bit slow, and grindy, but at the same time this is part of its charm. The Zee is a calming influence, and is a good game for when you want something relaxing to play.

overall, this game is beautiful. the story, the world, the graphics, the ambiance, are all top tier. but it's hard to appreciate because the gameplay is just *too hard* and there are no in-game settings to alleviate the grind. pretty much all of the mods you can find for sunless sea are meant to lower the difficulty. i highly recommend downloading one. it is so much more fun when you can stay with one captain for longer than an hour or two.
