Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 10 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Really enjoyed probably the first 60 hours of this game. The atmosphere and storytelling was awesome. The problem with a game like this is eventually you've read all the unique little stories of what is going on on each island and your run out of new options of dialogue then everything starts repeating. Once you've discovered most of the mysteries of what each item is for and what is at each location it starts feeling very repetitive. At the end it's actually very grindy. I would say avoid going online and reading the wiki for information and just play it but I've found the game is very fickle and you can die from simple mistakes. This wouldn't be a big deal if the you'd only invested a few hours in your character but If you've invested 40+ hours then you do something like sail off the edge of the map and find out that kills you it makes you want to never play again. Often you'd also find that you invested a lot of time doing a major side quest only to find it's an alternate ending and if you complete it your game will be over and you won't be able to complete you main objective. There is also a quest later in the game if you simply return some documents to London your game is instantly over and you've lost the game.... The dialogue in the game needs to be much more clear of the consequences. I highly recommend playing with the no manual save function. It's much more fun and you're choices will have more meaning. I played one round with Save/Load and it got real boring because the temptation to save/reload when something doesn't go your way is really easy to get sucked into. Lastly they need to change a few of the game mechanics. Specifically the "Something awaits you" mechanic, Once you find out it refreshes every 60 seconds you can just sit outside ports to basically get free items or keep doing certain events say like buying red honey..... Pretty soon you're just farming high dollar items by sitting at a port for an hour. This is not fun but you can't help doing it because it's easy money. I good solution would be that you have to go to a different port for a "Something awaits you" or you have to go back to London before you can go back to the same island again. Another thing they need to rework is the terror counter. It goes up every few seconds so you can time when to click on your lights so save fuel. When sitting in port you can count 5 seconds and flash your lights to prevent it from going up. Then the game becomes a count to 5 click a button repeat game....very boring but hey you don't want more terror right? So you keep doing it. Not fun gameplay. A great solution would just have it do a constant gradual climb not something that happens every few seconds. All complains aside it was a good game but could be much better by addressing some of the issues above.

One of the best games I've ever played. Deep storylines, and very satisfying progression.
It's taken me many hours to get a good hold on this game, but I can now firmly say that I enjoy it. For any new players, know this - the difficulty pretty much spikes right out of the gate. Getting over that cliff is (as far as I have experienced) the toughest part of the game. I recommend keeping a captain's log of your own, both to further immerse yourself and remember locations, shops, story beats, etc. The Zubmariner DLC is a great addition as it gives you (once you get the upgrade) more ports to work with and make money around. One tip I will provide to new captains is regarding fighting enemy ships. I learned that most do not have an aft (rear) gun, allowing you to sail behind them and continually pepper them until they sink! Don't forget to throw your engines into reverse if you need to maintain a tight turning circle. For those that do have an aft gun, there is a sharp angle at roughly 4 to 5 o'clock that you can sit at, ramming into the ship (ramming does no damage to either your or their ship, so feel free to pit maneuver). It is more difficult to sit in, however, so be careful! As a final note, I also recommend Sunless Skies. It is far more forgiving but just as beautiful of a game.
I have a folder full of text documents and screenshots that I refer to when playing this game.
I love this game, but I have to point out right away, that if you do not like a slow game, and I mean SLOW. This is probably not for you. The prose is unlike anything out there, and the setting is completely unique. If you enjoy being immersed in a fully realized setting dripping with that Victorian steampunk / weird magic theme. Then you should pick this up because the game is fully engrossed in itself and just waiting to let you pick it apart for its juicy bits.
I seem to have spent 80 hours sailing these zees, and expect to spend more, so I guess I enjoy it? The endless tedium of a sea voyage, madness, deadly festival, masks and mirrors, a bit more tedium - oh, faceless clay pirates! Better flee. Oops, my ship was just eaten by a hostile iceberg. Back to the beginning...
Can't decide if it's an RPG or Roguelike, resulting in it falling short of being good at either. I generally like both RPGs and Roguelikes (FTL, Risk of Rain 2, and Hades are some of my favorite games) but this is just frustrating and tedious.
There's nothing quite like this game. If you're the kind of person who likes immersive, atmospheric games and who's willing to look past certain grindy and repetitive aspects in favor of great lore and story, this is the game for you. Don't get me wrong, it's not that repetitive, it's just that once the novelty wears off it gets kind of boring to have to traverse the long-explored Unterzee for the hundredth time in order to advance a certain quest. But it's still worth it in my opinion. Definitely worth buying.
A grindy textathon of boring and overall bad gameplay. Funny how many positive reviews but such a low all time peak.
