Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I have 136 hours in a game that takes maybe 10 to complete, like, come on. If you're reading reviews you want to know if the game is good. Answer: Yes. Cool? Cool, buy it.
First Impressions
SteamWorld Build is a charming city-builder that combines relaxed settlement management with underground mining and exploration. Its colorful art style, satisfying progression, and accessible mechanics make it incredibly easy to sink hours into. While it doesn't reinvent the genre, it successfully blends city-building with resource management, creating a fun experience that's easy to recommend to both newcomers and veterans alike.
Overall Rating:
8/10 🌟

Graphics and Visuals
[✔️] 🎨 Beautiful Art Style: The hand-drawn visuals are subtle and appealing. Every building, citizen and environment is full of personality, making the world feel lively and inviting. [✔️] 🌎 Distinct Biomes: Each map introduces different environments and layouts that keep the campaign visually fresh while encouraging different building approaches. [✔️] 💻 Excellent Performance: The game runs smoothly even with larger settlements, providing a polished experience with very few technical issues. [❓] 🎨 Simple Presentation: While charming, if you're looking for highly detailed or realistic graphics, you may find the visual style a little simplistic.
Gameplay & Mechanics
[✔️] 🏗️ City Building: Building and expanding your settlement is intuitive and rewarding. Managing housing, production chains and citizen needs creates a satisfying gameplay loop without becoming overwhelming. [✔️] ⛏️ Underground Exploration: Digging beneath your city to gather resources while defending against enemies adds a unique twist that separates this game from traditional city-builders. [✔️] ⚙️ Balanced Progression: Unlocking new buildings, technologies and upgrades happens at a comfortable pace, constantly giving you new goals to work towards. [❌] 🔄 Limited Complexity: Experienced city-builder players may find some systems too simple, lacking the depth found in more hardcore management games. [❌] 📈 Difficulty: Once your production chains are optimized, the game rarely presents major challenges, making the late game feel relatively easy, even on harder difficulties.
Content & Replayability
[✔️] 🌍 Campaign Variety: The campaign introduces new mechanics gradually, keeping each chapter engaging. [✔️] 🔄 Relaxing Replayability: The different maps encourage you to replay the game simply by offering completion landmarks that grant you global bonuses on different playthroughs. [❌] 📚 Limited Endgame: After completing the campaign, there isn't a significant amount of additional content to keep you invested for dozens more hours.
Pros & Highlights
[✔️] 😊 Relaxing Experience: The game strikes an excellent balance between being engaging and relaxing, making it perfect for casual gaming sessions. [✔️] 🎵 Soundtrack: The cheerful western-inspired soundtrack complements the game's atmosphere perfectly without becoming repetitive. [✔️] ⛏️ Unique Gameplay Mix: Combining city-building with underground mining creates a gameplay loop that feels fresh and constantly rewarding.
Cons & Drawbacks
[❌] 🎮 Limited Challenge: Once you understand the game's mechanics, managing your settlement becomes fairly straightforward, reducing long-term difficulty. [❌] 🔄 Short Campaign: Completing the campaign doesn't take very long compared to other city-builders. [❌] 📉 Light Management Systems: While accessible, some production and economy mechanics lack the complexity that genre veterans may be looking for.
it's okay for the first chapter, there is only 4 level which it consist of 1 level for town and 3 levels for cave where you do the diging. The problem comes after we finished the first chapers where we do another chapter which it on different map, it practically the same with previous chapter which make it didn't add values. Lucky got the game at very cheap price. Want to give 3 stars, but Steam only support recommend or not and it fall to not recommended.
Great game. It's a little city building, a little RTS, and a little tower defense all skillfully combined into a fun little game.
Recommending, but I would give this one a neutral rating if I could. While high quality art and animations the gameplay can be frustrating and each map is exactly the same. Above ground you have to manage a town of citizens of different types. Your income is based on their happiness. This causes you to potentially fall into a vicious spiral I've seen in many base builders. Don't have enough of a thing -> People are unhappy you get less money -> With less money you can't make the thing to make them happy -> They get more unhappy -> You get even less money -> etc. To break the cycle you have to sell whatever you DO have in an attempt to get enough cash to stop the bleeding. Meanwhile, underground, you're sending out workers to dig, fight monsters, and build resource gathering machines. There are three levels each with more monsters and complexity. This turns into frustrating pattern of monsters coming and inevitably destroying something so you have to rebuild it or repair all your weapons. Your workers also flee at the mere sight of a monster, so while a mechanic may be 75% finished in repairing a turret that could kill the monster, they gtfo and it goes back to 0%.
