SteamWorld goes Anno.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's an OK game. I thought it was like Tropico, but it's more like Anno. The problem is that it's very easy. I got all the achievements except two in 7 hours, but the other two are just a waste of time having to chop 50,000 logs and cut 100,000 roads – a complete waste of time. Besides that, there are several maps, but it's exactly the same thing on all of them, very simplistic and easy unfortunately. I wish this game had more depth and difficulty, like Anno, but I understand it's for a younger audience. I recommend buying it on sale, but it's an interesting game.
This is again a case where I wish Steam had a "meh" rating. The game is well made for what it is, and is fun enough early on. My main issue is how rigid the game is, more of a puzzle than a city builder or exploration game. While there is a very light trading mechanic, you cannot really specialize your little town in anything, you always need the same buildings/resources to progress. I am also no stranger to slower paced games that require waiting for resources or population growth, but much of this game feels like long stretches of waiting for resources to slowly tick up with nothing interesting to even watch. So is this really a bad game? No, if you are looking for something more puzzle-like and enjoy the aesthetic it will probably be several hours of entertainment for you. I just found it rather bland and boring.
Eh. It's alright. Competent, good-looking, and achieves what it sets out to do. I really enjoyed the Dungeon Keeper-esque mine exploration and defense, and it was very novel to have the resource loop of extracting from the mines -> improving the city -> more tech to explore the mine. My issues were that everything felt very linear in how to proceed. I know that a city-builder with a defined end-state and a main quest means there must exist some path to follow, but I feel like the entire point of the genre is to enable all kinds of paths forward, which SteamWorld Build simply does not abide. Everything operates in tiers and unlocks, and the unlock you get will help you unlock the next tier, over and over until the game ends. You will get basic worker houses, then build the structures for their two needs, then get engineer houses, then fulfill their 6-8 needs, then unlock new resources in the mines, then refine them...etc. etc. etc. I would have loved it if each tier of workers and tech were viable through the whole game, and you got to choose which ones you invested in, giving meaningful options between a town that spams out low-tier units and buildings, or one that concentrates into high-tier, more demanding ones. It could go crazy with the mine fights, choosing between a hundred guards or forty grenade turrets, or four lightning guns. You could have to choose between having tons of haulers, or fewer very-upgraded ones, or an infrastructure of harvesters and conveyors. Building and unit upgrades could be doled out based on some criteria, instead of just randomly appearing with some strictly better or worse than others. All this stuff is in the game. But instead of being a choice, it's just a linear stroll. There are no sidegrades, no choices, no real decisions, only optimization. Which can be fun. But for me? Only alright.
Fun game, not as stressful as other city builder games. Easy to play.
The gameplay is nice at first, but: - resources values are not very well balanced - although the game offers multiple maps, there is little incentive to complete the game more than once - the information about the buildings resource consumption are lacking (you need to build one and then guess from the effect on the demand, which varies with other factors as well) The EULA (which I should have read before playing the game) is the final nail in the coffin.
Great mini-strategy game with a unique visualization and a good storyline. Love it
I could never recommend it at full price because this is essentially one singular playthrough of anno's story mode, with one singular level of dungeon keeper. It's a very well made game but like... They just give you 6 maps to do *one* gameplay on. There's no replay value whatsoever. And that's not even considering the fact that hte game is incredibly easy. I did hard mode no turret just for the achievements and it still basically did not require any input on my part.
