abandoned and unfinished. avoid. a real shame for such a great IP.
I had a certain amount of fun with this game, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's somewhat underbaked and feels a lot less deep than Stellaris (the game it's derived from). Sorry to have to say this, but it's kind of necessary. It MIGHT be worth it on a sale to a trekkie, but don't expect too much.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Totalkatastrophe! Spiel startet gar nicht erst. Gekauft. Installiert. Startet nicht. Steam verweigert die Rückerstattung. FINGER WEG!!!
Love Star Trek, Love Stellaris. This game is terrible.
I wish I didn't purchase this. I was excited for a Star Trek Stellaris! I've never played Stellaris and it felt daunting to try to get into it with all the DLC and such so I bought this as a huge Star Trek fan. Boy what a mistake! It was abandoned very quickly by the developers and there has been no support since like a month after launch. Really absurd for such a huge IP and publisher. What a shame.
The game has been abandoned. I wanted a more modern Star Trek Armada, and despite having a passionate team it was not given the opportunity it should have.
abandonware.......
The game is about two decades too late for the experience that it offers as a whole. There are some nice touches here and there but major components are unpolished, such as space battles. The physics represented in them is way off. Ships run around as if they have no mass, no strategy is possible, you just watch the battle take place, and every battle looks identical and stupid. For a game developed in the 2020s, it's kind of embarrassing to see that still be the default answer. This looks remarkably similar to games that are 20+ years old. There are notable issues with the game mechanics as well such as progression of events does not always execute or executes late and then does not make sense or makes other sequences impossible to play, etc. It's a mess. Finally, the game itself is interminable. There is no way to play this in a reasonable amount time and feel like you got something out of it. It gets boring very fast. I was hopeful for this game as I was a trekkie in the 90s but this is just an old game papered over with a Star Trek theme. I would try something else if I were you.
