Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Sep 14 → 6.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Space Engineers 2 is currently a Playable Alpha In Active Development and already lets you begin building, surviving, and colonizing the Almagest System.
You arrive in the distant Almagest System on humanity’s first large-scale colonization mission. Your ship is damaged on entry, your tools are basic, and the planets below are beautiful but unforgiving. From here, everything you build is up to you.
Explore planets, moons, asteroid rings, and dense clusters. Mine resources, construct bases and starships, complete contracts, discover Datapads, trade, expand into new sectors, and push the frontier forward alone now, and later together with friends as co-op and large-scale multiplayer arrive over the course of Early Access.
Space Engineers 2 takes everything we have learned over the past 10 years and reimagines the space engineering experience with more depth, precision, and creative freedom than ever before. Powered by our new VRAGE3 engine, creation and destruction feel better than ever.
Build ships, stations, bases, and machines. Mine asteroids, reshape terrain, carve tunnels, damage structures, and experiment in a fully destructible sandbox where engineering decisions matter.
Whether you are a veteran Space Engineer or new to the series, Space Engineers 2 gives you a growing sandbox where your creativity can shine while the game continues expanding through Early Access.
Explore the next generation of construction with the 25 cm Unified Grid System. No more large-grid vs small-grid separation: blocks fit together seamlessly, making it easier to create detailed and functional builds.
Mounting point visualization, grid lines, improved controls, and more intuitive building tools help you design, adjust, and refine your creations with greater precision.
Space Engineers 2 introduces major building improvements such as Grid Undo, copy/paste, symmetry, blueprints, Projection Building, Backpack Building, Area Welding, refined CTRL controls, and improved rotation and zoom.
These tools are designed to make engineering smoother for both newcomers and experienced players, while preserving the depth and creativity that define Space Engineers.
Take your creations to new speeds with upgraded max velocity: characters up to 310 m/s and grids up to 300 m/s. Magboots and automatic jetpack activation help you stay in control while building, exploring, and moving around large constructions, platforms, ships, and asteroids.
Mechanical systems are also expanding. Rotors and Pistons are already available in the current Alpha, with wheels, hinges, warheads, and additional engineering systems planned for future updates.
We redesigned UI/UX to make building smoother and more intuitive for both newcomers and pros, giving more freedom to bring your intricate ideas to life. VRAGE3 is being optimized throughout Early Access; performance can vary by hardware, world size, and build complexity. As Early Access progresses, you’ll be able to build bigger ships, fly more of them, and enjoy epic destruction in a truly immersive ride.
The current Alpha already includes a real sandbox survival experience. Manage power, oxygen, hydrogen, and health. Mine resources, process materials, manufacture components, build production chains, complete contracts, earn credits, discover Datapads, and begin expanding colonization across the Almagest System.
These systems are playable today, but still growing. Long-term survival progression, deeper colonization, richer economy and contracts, NPCs, campaign content, co-op, multiplayer, and many additional systems will continue arriving during Early Access.
Enjoy the beauty of space, industrial designs, planetary landscapes, and destructive engineering with next-level realism. Space Engineers 2 introduces ray-traced global illumination, realistic shadows, a new skybox, tessellated voxel materials, parallax effects for armor, volumetric clouds, and many other visual improvements that bring depth and realism to every scene.
Bring your ideas to life and share your Blueprints and Worlds with the community through Steam Workshop integration. Explore a growing collection of creations from other players, find inspiration, and discover new engineering challenges.
Space Engineers 2 also supports advanced modding through the VRAGE3 Mod HUB and Mod Editor tools, giving creators more ways to shape the future of the game.

i really like this game already but i do really want to see atmostphereic burnup like the old burnup mod in the first space engineers, you have to go into the atmostphere at certain angles or slow enough so you dont burn up, or special tile blocks meant to take the heat
if I could leave a natural review I would but I don't think this game really deserves a positive or negative review the game shows a lot of potential but is lacking a lot of features from the first game in the state the game is in right now I wouldn't recommend buying it until its cooked some more unless you just want to support the team just get the first game the graphics upgrade really isn't worth the downgrade in almost all other mechanics

cant go wrong with some spacey E. the graphics are awesome, the physics is good fun and the modding community is next level. not to mention warefare, missions and soon....water. SE is in a class of its own. love this game
Super jeu, pas évident à prendre en main, mais l'investissement de temps vaut la peine
game is evolving nicely! after almost 6000 hours in space eng 1, this games looks much better. lets see what will it be in half year
This is far better as far as sense of progression. It is in alpha so yes, there are contracts that seem to straight up bug out but i've done like 100+ easily and only 2 have bugged out and you can use a debug menu to fix it currently by just completing it anyway after you know it's over. The unlockable with contracts is cool but it ends up being extremely repetitive once you get past the 3rd sector and so I couldn't keep playing due to 2 sectors in a row now being pretty much exactly the same. There is massive potential here though. After a certain point all mission are repeated in empty space and are exactly the same for around 12 sectors out of the 15. Unfortunately, unlockables run out quite quickly and it is just repetitive and the center planet just burns you, you can never enter it. A disappointing ending... Overall neutral because of there progression path with the payoff only being repetition and nothing happening in the end. Getting 100% colonization does nothing Getting to the center planet does nothing, you just die because of a "heat" warning.
I've been a huge fan of the first **Space Engineers** for years. It was an amazing sandbox with incredible freedom and creativity. That said, I do think it really reached its full potential thanks to the modding community. Mods added so much content and quality-of-life improvements that they became an essential part of the experience for me. As for **Space Engineers 2**, it's important to remember that it's still in development. If you're expecting a complete game today, I'd recommend waiting before buying it. However, it's absolutely worth keeping an eye on and adding to your wishlist because it's already a big step in the right direction. The new engine has a lot of potential, and even in its current state you can see the foundation they're building. There's still a lot of work ahead, but the developers have been very open about that during their livestreams. I appreciate their honesty instead of pretending the game is further along than it is. One of the biggest reasons I'm optimistic is the Keen Software House team itself. They regularly communicate with the community through livestreams, share their progress, listen to feedback, and genuinely seem to care about making the best game they can. Developers who are passionate gamers first and foremost feel increasingly rare these days, and Keen gives me that impression. I fully support the developers and can't wait to see where Space Engineers 2 goes. If you're thinking about buying it, my advice is simple: **wait for now, but definitely wishlist it and follow its development.** I have a lot of confidence that it will grow into something special, just like the first game did.
Even if it's early Alfa, it's good to play.
