Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Space Engineers 2 is currently a Playable Alpha In Active Development and already lets you begin building, surviving, and colonizing the Almagest System.
You arrive in the distant Almagest System on humanity’s first large-scale colonization mission. Your ship is damaged on entry, your tools are basic, and the planets below are beautiful but unforgiving. From here, everything you build is up to you.
Explore planets, moons, asteroid rings, and dense clusters. Mine resources, construct bases and starships, complete contracts, discover Datapads, trade, expand into new sectors, and push the frontier forward alone now, and later together with friends as co-op and large-scale multiplayer arrive over the course of Early Access.
Space Engineers 2 takes everything we have learned over the past 10 years and reimagines the space engineering experience with more depth, precision, and creative freedom than ever before. Powered by our new VRAGE3 engine, creation and destruction feel better than ever.
Build ships, stations, bases, and machines. Mine asteroids, reshape terrain, carve tunnels, damage structures, and experiment in a fully destructible sandbox where engineering decisions matter.
Whether you are a veteran Space Engineer or new to the series, Space Engineers 2 gives you a growing sandbox where your creativity can shine while the game continues expanding through Early Access.
Explore the next generation of construction with the 25 cm Unified Grid System. No more large-grid vs small-grid separation: blocks fit together seamlessly, making it easier to create detailed and functional builds.
Mounting point visualization, grid lines, improved controls, and more intuitive building tools help you design, adjust, and refine your creations with greater precision.
Space Engineers 2 introduces major building improvements such as Grid Undo, copy/paste, symmetry, blueprints, Projection Building, Backpack Building, Area Welding, refined CTRL controls, and improved rotation and zoom.
These tools are designed to make engineering smoother for both newcomers and experienced players, while preserving the depth and creativity that define Space Engineers.

Take your creations to new speeds with upgraded max velocity: characters up to 310 m/s and grids up to 300 m/s. Magboots and automatic jetpack activation help you stay in control while building, exploring, and moving around large constructions, platforms, ships, and asteroids.
Mechanical systems are also expanding. Rotors and Pistons are already available in the current Alpha, with wheels, hinges, warheads, and additional engineering systems planned for future updates.

We redesigned UI/UX to make building smoother and more intuitive for both newcomers and pros, giving more freedom to bring your intricate ideas to life. VRAGE3 is being optimized throughout Early Access; performance can vary by hardware, world size, and build complexity. As Early Access progresses, you’ll be able to build bigger ships, fly more of them, and enjoy epic destruction in a truly immersive ride.

The current Alpha already includes a real sandbox survival experience. Manage power, oxygen, hydrogen, and health. Mine resources, process materials, manufacture components, build production chains, complete contracts, earn credits, discover Datapads, and begin expanding colonization across the Almagest System.
These systems are playable today, but still growing. Long-term survival progression, deeper colonization, richer economy and contracts, NPCs, campaign content, co-op, multiplayer, and many additional systems will continue arriving during Early Access.
Enjoy the beauty of space, industrial designs, planetary landscapes, and destructive engineering with next-level realism. Space Engineers 2 introduces ray-traced global illumination, realistic shadows, a new skybox, tessellated voxel materials, parallax effects for armor, volumetric clouds, and many other visual improvements that bring depth and realism to every scene.
Bring your ideas to life and share your Blueprints and Worlds with the community through Steam Workshop integration. Explore a growing collection of creations from other players, find inspiration, and discover new engineering challenges.
Space Engineers 2 also supports advanced modding through the VRAGE3 Mod HUB and Mod Editor tools, giving creators more ways to shape the future of the game.

Space Engineers 2 is available now in Playable Alpha. By joining during Early Access, you can play the current version, share feedback, report issues, and help shape the game as it grows toward full release.

I probably should have waited until the game was more fully fleshed out before buying. At this pace, it feels like it could take years to complete. Honestly, I think the devs should have focused on finishing SE1 before shifting attention to SE2. This is the first game purchase I genuinely regret — I honestly wish I could have gotten a refund.
Janky flight controls, VERY unresponsive flight, no inventory sorting, momentary freezes (character only game continues but no movement, no mouse movement nor keyboard controls), and that's only a few grievances/bugs/QoL issues. Absolute bovine excrament, ship was doing over 1k (forward thrust) and I fell BACKWARDS into the planet, cargo was under 40% capacity. This is way beyond being anywhere near ready for release (nor throwing more money at it). Wouldn't bother to check back for the next 6 months, best bet might be in the new year, otherwise you're wasting your time and if you want to be really safe, try 2028 instead. Uninstalled and going back to X4. UPDATE: Thought I'd give it another try and 'yep, wasted my time and effort. Starts of fine then after playing for a period of time (which varies) you end up with mouse freezes, everything else works excepting your mouse. These freezes start from 5 seconds up to 25 and more, once the 'high time mark' is reached you get your not so unexpected crashes and there's no recovering, even backup saves will go the same way. But Keen still adamantly states there are no memory leaks, it has to be the users machine/system. Typical reply from a gaming company that can't find what the actual problem is and blames the players or in this case PAYING customers. TL;DR - WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
When people say 'streamlined' they mean 'dumbed down'. First the good: Its pretty. Block system allows for more interesting builds. 300m/s Now... the bad. The ore just magically pops up in your inventory when you touch it with the drill. There are no more ore rocks tumbling downhill into your collector, because they removed collectors. If thats how they fix performance, im glad they arent doctors. Your legs hurt? Lets chop them off! And these people are saying they want volumetric water and wind physics? I want the darn ore globs! Bring em back! Whats more, i dont even know what refineries are for if you can just build with the ore you magically sucked out straight outta the dirt with your Suckinator 3000. Yes, minecraft is more complex. I never even got around to ship building because of that and refunded. Maybe its great, idk, but i felt insulted by the MOBILE GAME TIER RESOURCE SYSTEM especially when compared to the well established and beloved system they already had! That was what the core audience wanted!!! Im going back to SE1 with mods, the future is dumb. What a disappointment :(

The bad: Putting an early access game on sale is not a good look. No DLSS! only FSR. VSYNC = 60fps cap. Even though im getting +180fps, the camera motion feel like its running at 45fps. AA sucks, doesn't help that there's no DLAA. Advanced video settings are still pretty basic. Updates take a long time and dont feel that full. Anticipated multiplayer will only be 4 player client hosted coop. The good. Dev blogs are amazing, I always like reading them. Menu screenshots/artwoork look really cool. The terrain, atmosphere and ambience is really cool. update trailer videos are awesome. I had hoped that they would get the nvidia technology by now. it seems like a basic thing now days.
Save world before loading writes over the save to be loaded resualting in loading straight back to the point you attempted to load from. This is beyond stupidity, how the hell this made it into the game to begin with is beyond me.
Игра достаточна сырая, играя в нее, нужно быть стойким, к постоянным фризам, багам, исчезновением, вылетам. Игра не оптимизирована, вызывает перегрев слабых видеокарт, требовательна к железу.
I came back to SE 2 after the big update, it was a mistake. the controls for vehicles is nowhere close to being ready . you have to hunt for the exact weld point to build. Why are brakes not a thing? there are a lot of good things, blueprint building , all blocks work together. I am sure it will get there, but these are basic fundamentals of all driving and building mechanics that should have been incorporated from the beginning. I will revisit in a year and see how things have progressed.
