Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Sep 14 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Space Engineers 2 is currently a Playable Alpha In Active Development and already lets you begin building, surviving, and colonizing the Almagest System.
You arrive in the distant Almagest System on humanity’s first large-scale colonization mission. Your ship is damaged on entry, your tools are basic, and the planets below are beautiful but unforgiving. From here, everything you build is up to you.
Explore planets, moons, asteroid rings, and dense clusters. Mine resources, construct bases and starships, complete contracts, discover Datapads, trade, expand into new sectors, and push the frontier forward alone now, and later together with friends as co-op and large-scale multiplayer arrive over the course of Early Access.
Space Engineers 2 takes everything we have learned over the past 10 years and reimagines the space engineering experience with more depth, precision, and creative freedom than ever before. Powered by our new VRAGE3 engine, creation and destruction feel better than ever.
Build ships, stations, bases, and machines. Mine asteroids, reshape terrain, carve tunnels, damage structures, and experiment in a fully destructible sandbox where engineering decisions matter.
Whether you are a veteran Space Engineer or new to the series, Space Engineers 2 gives you a growing sandbox where your creativity can shine while the game continues expanding through Early Access.
Explore the next generation of construction with the 25 cm Unified Grid System. No more large-grid vs small-grid separation: blocks fit together seamlessly, making it easier to create detailed and functional builds.
Mounting point visualization, grid lines, improved controls, and more intuitive building tools help you design, adjust, and refine your creations with greater precision.
Space Engineers 2 introduces major building improvements such as Grid Undo, copy/paste, symmetry, blueprints, Projection Building, Backpack Building, Area Welding, refined CTRL controls, and improved rotation and zoom.
These tools are designed to make engineering smoother for both newcomers and experienced players, while preserving the depth and creativity that define Space Engineers.
Take your creations to new speeds with upgraded max velocity: characters up to 310 m/s and grids up to 300 m/s. Magboots and automatic jetpack activation help you stay in control while building, exploring, and moving around large constructions, platforms, ships, and asteroids.
Mechanical systems are also expanding. Rotors and Pistons are already available in the current Alpha, with wheels, hinges, warheads, and additional engineering systems planned for future updates.
We redesigned UI/UX to make building smoother and more intuitive for both newcomers and pros, giving more freedom to bring your intricate ideas to life. VRAGE3 is being optimized throughout Early Access; performance can vary by hardware, world size, and build complexity. As Early Access progresses, you’ll be able to build bigger ships, fly more of them, and enjoy epic destruction in a truly immersive ride.
The current Alpha already includes a real sandbox survival experience. Manage power, oxygen, hydrogen, and health. Mine resources, process materials, manufacture components, build production chains, complete contracts, earn credits, discover Datapads, and begin expanding colonization across the Almagest System.
These systems are playable today, but still growing. Long-term survival progression, deeper colonization, richer economy and contracts, NPCs, campaign content, co-op, multiplayer, and many additional systems will continue arriving during Early Access.
Enjoy the beauty of space, industrial designs, planetary landscapes, and destructive engineering with next-level realism. Space Engineers 2 introduces ray-traced global illumination, realistic shadows, a new skybox, tessellated voxel materials, parallax effects for armor, volumetric clouds, and many other visual improvements that bring depth and realism to every scene.
Bring your ideas to life and share your Blueprints and Worlds with the community through Steam Workshop integration. Explore a growing collection of creations from other players, find inspiration, and discover new engineering challenges.
Space Engineers 2 also supports advanced modding through the VRAGE3 Mod HUB and Mod Editor tools, giving creators more ways to shape the future of the game.

crashes when creating new world, i have never played the game. ive tried everything. been on the horn with support for nearly a month now, and i have received four responses no more than 5 days apart. - Unoverclock your gpu (its not overclocked, and never has been) - open empty world on low settings (did not work) - disable sunshaft quality (off on lowest settings, so basically repeated 2) - disable rtx and open empty world (off on lowest settings, another repeat of 2) all 5 days or more apart, mind you. and three of them are the same thing. they stalled and lazed about until i couldnt refund the game anymore, and now im sitting here with 0 hours of gameplay and nearly a month of troubleshooting with friends, all the while support pretends to exist and the game wont game. to hell with it, ive been homeless before, id take another 6 months of that just to get my $30 back and spend it on pizza instead of this block of unusable code.

Let me be clear, THIS GAME IS AMAZING!! But it crashes non stop for me in all game modes (even after gfx drivers reinstall). So I cannot advise it at the moment. As it it seems to be unplayable for at least a group of people. When this gets patched I will review my review.
ive been waiting for a story mode. saw that it came out figured id give it a try. lemme just say the game is not ready yet... though i didn't totally "hate" the missions, they were for the most part boring, and uninteresting. after losing my base a few times, and finally needing to do some research online (which is the worst thing any game can make you do IMO). i finally figured out you can make a GPS point to show your base location at all ranges. otherwise, your antenna, which is for the most part pointless... can show your base and gear location upwards of 10km away. which is nothing. the game needs some serious balance to either make the speed of things MUCH faster. or the range of the things MUCH lower. spending 2-3 mins just holding W to get to a new quest location felt worse by the second. what finally broke the camels back for me, was when i had to fly to the opposite side of the planet for my next quest... i never made it there, because after holding W for about 3 mins, and having the number go from 117km down to 110km. i was very much done. i didn't feel like holding W for 15 mins. if you happen to be reading this, and you think the story mode might be worth doing... its not. its absolutely not. im going to give this game another year or 2 to cook. hopefully it will be better by then. i also never found a single use for the vehicles. maybe if they did an "auto piolet" option to just fly me to the next mission, would really help needing to just hold down the W button. also, make it to where you don't have to go to the delivery point to drop off objective items. some sort of delievery thing should be put in where they come and pick it up from you. games that just waste your time for the sake of "realism" just never gets fun.
It's a great concept but lacks polish. Seems like the devs forgot to include fun, again. The math is so close to real life that it bounces between boring and frustrating without ever intersecting on fun. The build system is dated and clunky. The components you have to build with are very few, extremely basic, and completely uninteresting. The game is all grind with little to no reward. And, the worst thing is, this is the second game. Aside from some missing parts and features, it's exactly the first game. This isn't Space Engineers 2, it's more like Space Engineers .75. I'll be avoiding this dev in the future. They obviously don't know how to grow, improve, innovate, or have fun. They'd be far better at building CAD software and should probably give up on games.
Extremely buggy right now and nearly unplayable with an external HDD. Will try again in a year or two.
This has great potential but I am frustrated by the lack of small window blocks and restricted PCU (build limit) yes there is more opportunity for detail but the current available blocks restrict you from actually harnessing the build system to make what you want in the detail you could make it be. Plus the few window panes that are in the game are an odd number of tiles so you can't actually mount them centered and makes for a frustrating time trying to make things work. I wil;l change my review when things are different as I have played 5,000 hours of the first game and want to give this one a positive review.
I've played Space Engineers for several thousand hours. I've created several mods for the game. I've been a part of catching several exploits and fixing several bugs over the past decade. But I can't play Space Engineers like this. I don't know how to get used to these build mechanics. They're unintuitive for me. It's as if they've tried to reinvent the wheel, but somehow made it worse, not better. I hate to say it, but if this is how it's going to be, then I think this might be the end of the road for me. But, hey, I'm just one guy. Losing one guy probably doesn't matter. If everyone else prefers it like this, then it's no big deal. But if it changes in the future, I'll come back. After all, I don't dislike the game, the devs or the community. It's all great. But I can't play this as it is, and I can only use my vote. Sorry.
How did you all manage to make building worse? I get that it's in EA but how can you launch a game into EA without even the basics covered?
