Briar no pega...
🗡️🖤 “A love letter to character action games that carves out its own identity.” ⚔️👻
Soulstice feels like a game made by people who genuinely love the character action genre. Its inspirations are obvious, but rather than chasing the bombastic absurdity of many of its Japanese counterparts, it takes a more grounded approach through a dark fantasy setting filled with haunting environments, monstrous enemies, and a surprisingly serious tone. Combat is where the game shines. The combo system isn't as deep or expressive as something like Devil May Cry, but it's still satisfying and engaging in its own right. What makes Soulstice stand out is the dual-character dynamic. Managing Briar's offense while utilizing Lute to parry, block, and counter enemy attacks creates a unique rhythm that constantly demands your attention. Fights become less about simply mashing through enemies and more about prioritization and awareness. Identifying the biggest threat, managing enemy types, and knowing when to switch your focus between offense and defense keeps encounters engaging throughout the campaign. The game isn't without flaws. Performance can be inconsistent, and occasional framerate drops can be frustrating in a genre where responsiveness matters. There are also moments where the budget shows through in ways that bigger character action titles avoid. But despite those rough edges, there's a lot to appreciate here. The combat is fun, the setting is distinct, and the developers clearly understood what makes the genre satisfying. If you're a fan of character action games and you've already worked through the usual suspects, Soulstice is absolutely worth your time. It may not reach the heights of the genre's giants, but it's a worthy addition to the lineup—and one that deserves more attention than it gets. 🖤🔥

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Played this back when it launched for Xbox, and two weeks after I decided to do a glory run on pc. I find out that Soulstice 2 was being made, but only to be cancelled. Which is a shame since despite all it's main flaws, Soulstice had a set plan and identity that a AA studio tried to put out with as much soul and attention possible, and nailed most of it. But, it's main gripes I, and the vast consensus, had would be the direction they chose for the game's take on DMC Reboot's red and blue mechanic. They made a decision to make it worse and more annoying by changing it from color coded weapons, to a small field of either color that can harm enemies. The issue is that the field is always too small, and the color coded enemies constantly move out of the way. Combine that with a lot of types having armor and/or a stagger bar that prevents them from flinching and being sent airborne until broken. The freeflow of combat becomes restricted, as big enemies will just tank damage, occasionally attack, or orbit around you until their poise breaks or they die. It gets worse when a miniboss is felled, and you always have to kill 2 to 3 possessed ghosts before they revive that enemy type. It just makes combat limited, and causes it to drag on in a clunky manner. The lock on tends to be more or a hinderance than a help, and the constant visual assault of blue, dark blue, light blue, red, and brown for the whole run makes anyone take constant breaks. Which adds another gripe that can justifiably turn off people from picking up the game. But, despite that the game's combat can lock in just as much as it can feel off, and the visuals and art style have moments where it pops off. Especially, in the cinematics.
jogo frenetico e muito bonito visualmente, vale a pena demais
great game with some flaws. I love the environments in these types of games, the support mechanic with lute is fantastic. but very repetitive, the mazes are annoying as well, the locked camera takes getting used too but that’s the only downfall
