Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

Reviews
I really wanted to like this game and thought, even looking at the reviews it couldn't be that bad? I was sorely mistaken... The game port itself is REALLY poorly optimised. It constantly froze whenever it had to load a cutscene/ area transition or even open up the save menu, especially in the later portion of the game. It crashed multiple times because of it, so I almost had a heart attack every time it froze before I had chance to save my progress. I'll also add, I have a fairly powerful PC so that wasn't the issue. I played over multiple days and I noticed the resolution would randomly change each time I booted it up, I checked my settings and they were fine, and I never changed them between sessions, so no idea why that happened. The combat was dodgy at best. I found the game just sometimes wouldn't respond to key presses and if you got knocked down in a bad spot, there was high chance of getting stun locked by an enemy, since Alex is extremely slow to get back up if you miss that recovery prompt (or if it just doesn't show up sometimes like it did in my case...). The target lock was really annoying, and combined with the terrible dodge mechanic, it was god awful. You also for some reason can't turn the target lock off while reloading so if you're like me and forget to toggle it off before reloading, you're going to get stuck in the reload animation... and potentially get knocked around by an enemy. The audio mixing was bad too, with the dialogue audio being a lot quieter than the music/ effects most times, with some scenes having normal dialogue volume. I also found the dialogue itself was weirdly written. Like characters (mainly Alex) would respond in a way that didn't fit in the conversation that was occurring. Also, I kinda found Alex annoying with the way he was written. The story was kinda meh... couldn't really get into it too much cause the game kept crashing and like I mentioned, weird character writing. TLDR; Poorly optimised game all around and meh writing. You're better off watching a let's play if you're curious about the story rather than deal with the constant crashes.

9 on sale6 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 6 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 9 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Man I love this game. Whilst I completely understand the draw to silent hill 2 (the original as my Alienware is not quite there for the remastered remake! One day though) This game is not the same. Which is why I forgive people for not enjoying this one. But I did. The story being that of a soldier (without spoilers) makes sense that he can handle weapons better than any other silent hill game, but it is still his hell. I am a huge fan of all Silent Hill games, I love the lore and the details and even the films. Homecoming is amongst these and personally it is one of my favourites.
I have played the game on the Xbox 360 and i love it like the rest of the Silent Hills games but... - The game crash everytime - There are some button bash moments and you dont see the right icon for what button to push - It's a shame there are no achievement on steam but on the Xbox there is
A completely messed-up port to PC. Considering its poor technical condition, it should be removed from the store. On PC, it's better to emulate it.
They should not be selling this game. Crashes are constant... Images only show 25% of the image so things like maps are unusable. total disgrace. I hate feeling duped.
i'd be careful to not spend full-price on this. i got it on severe discount simply for the love of the series. i played this when it came out, i thought a replay would be fun. but it's actually impossible in this circumstance. so i will be speaking to that, rather than the game itself. homecoming was never my favorite silent hill, but this (steam? pc?) version of the game is broken. one example: the audio doesn't play in some scenes, but some audio *does* leak through at the same time. alex's voice will be missing, a whole conversation will go by with no subtitles to help, but you miiight hear a foot step. or a monster growl. or ambient noises. i've tried to fix it of course, and tried different devices, even. tl;dr the game is unplayable for many reasons
This port is a crime against humanity, literally unplayable, had to install a ps2 rom in order to have a nice and smooth experience. People who think the original game is that mess need to get they ass beaten for sure. THE SOUNDTRACK IS AN ABSOLUTELY MASTERPIECE. I love to blast that symphony over and over till my ears are bleeding. ONE MORE SOUL TO THE CALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Worst recent purchase I've made. Keeps crashing and they won't refund me because they have a 2 hour gaming time limit which I didn't even know so yeah had I realised I would have stopped trying to fix this crashing issue and requested a refund sooner. I'm rather pissed by the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ steam just pulled on me with not allowing a refund on a game that doesn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ work. But my mistake for thinking steam would actually care or do something to help.
