Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Not sure whats worse the port or the game itself. The story is awful, and all of the characters feel bland. The lock on system is a nightmare, and it's difficult to find any heals throughout each section. Konami needs to stop relying on Pyramid Head and the nurses and create new entities that truly reflect and stalk the protagonist, instead of just going for an easy cash grab.

9 on sale6 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 6 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 9 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Story is great..gameplay is really wonky and it crashes ALOT!!! I just powered threw the random freezes and crashes
This game is honestly underrated. It was hated on back in the day. I think a lot of that was down to certain YouTubers back in the date that hated on games for views. But I think it fits in really well, they did a good job with the town to sorta explore, you got the horror the element which they did it good. The combat isn't bad. The story has lots of twists and is captivating. I remember playing this back in the day, I switched it on to try and the story captivated me. This is honestly one of the best silent hill stories. It's worth buying just for that. The combat has a dodge so you have a lot of good options for combat. It's not hard. Playing any old game on modern hardware can be iffy. I have a 2070 super. It ran fine. If you got FreeSync/Adaptive sync/G-sync put that on as I found it went just that bit smoother. Though this is entirely down to preference. It works fine. Minor annoyance is not being able to save notes to read later. This story has dialogue scenes but there is notes that tell you more stuff about the place. Sadly not all notes are saved to a journal. You have to keep going back to where the note is to read them. I was hoping there would be a mod. But we can always go to the wiki to see the notes. It would just be better if it saved them all.
Steam version is INCREDIBLY buggy and glitches, but homecoming itself is a great game and I really enjoy the games story even with the clunky combat. There were some parts of the game that have glitches that make the game practically unplayable, like the clock puzzle in the otherworld version of the house. If you complete any other puzzle before the clock puzzle jt randomised the code (2;06) or just completely wipes a valid answer. It's pretty easily fixed though. Set the clock to 2:06, save the game than quit, reload and its fixed. This is pretty much the only BAD issue i had with the steam port. Hopefully it prevents other people from giving up on the game like I did first time round.. lol ^^ Overall the games story ties in pretty nicely with silent hill 3 and the monster designs are INCREDIBLE, possibly my favourite out of all the SH games. Once you get over the awkward combat, the game is great and honestly abit overhated for what it really is.
The game ran fine on my Linux pc until the first boss fight. I got to the second phase of the boss fight, and the game must have had a memory bleed. I was getting 1 frame per 2 minutes. On my second attempt at the boss, the same thing happened. This game is literally unplayable at this point. I am happy I bought this game for less than $2. Don't waste your money on this one. Watch a let's play or something. Edit: I forgot to mention that this game has a lot of button prompt/qte and the glyphs are not helpful at all. I played with a controller that had to be reconfigured to be playable. Most of the time, the remapped controls were overridden for some reason. It made every qte frustrating.
listening to elliott smith while playing any silent hill game is diabolical but peak gameplay
4.1 (Pasted from message to friend) (I used a mod that launches the steam version separate hence low hours) I was wishing it was over by the about 1/3 point. Combat was incredibly clunky, the first half of the game has quite a few areas where it spams enemies and it was genuinely pretty hard, I was scraping by to a frustrating degree as it was just generally unfun to attempt each time. I swear the first half was designed by an entirely different team or something, it felt a lot better overall to play through the second half albeit the same issues with the combat itself etc. The game itself is a glitchy mess, I was using a small mod that allows proper framerates, widescreen and other fixes so MAYBE that could have some negative affect somewhere but it did NOT run well at all esp in certain areas. Using a lever/switch or something there's be a few frames of like you doing the animation as you zoom through the 3D geometry to that point or something. Even with the fix (it's a default thing) the game was like made for 5.1 surround so on a non surround system a lot of dialogue and sounds were just in one ear as the port sucked. It was just bad. A kind of interesting story reveal near the end but it's muffled by all the rest of the garbage. Also to add the first like 1/5 of the game just felt like they had the interns watch the Silent Hill movie and copy a lot of things from the that: Exact same nurses (even how they move), Pyramid Head, The way the transition to otherworld happens, even some mentions of Ash which had me worried. 4.1/10 (I'm feeling generous for a couple designs and that single story beat)
P1r4t4, console, vídeo no YouTube, qualquer coisa é melhor. E agora o pior crime contra a humanidade: as enfermeiras. Silent Hill cheio de enfermeira zumbi sexualizada… E o jogo NÃO TE DEIXA COMER NENHUMA.
I've yet to finish this, but here's my thoughts after about 11 hours: Everything is prefaced by the fact that it's an older game and definitely optimized for newer PCs. - The gameplay could be better. - Visuals are okay. - I do wish there was a graphics settings menu. - The save system pisses me off to no end. There's no auto saves and no manual saves until you find a physical location to save your game. - some enemies are tricky, some are ridiculously easy, some are WAY overpowered. The bosses are tricky, I know that's the point, but the messy save system just makes it so much worse. - The dodge system is obnoxious. Even if you time it perfectly, half the time it just won't work. Especially with the "jump back up after being downed" thing. - The item distribution is incredibly inconsistent. I died to a boss at least five times because I didn't have enough health items to make it through the fight, but in the next section (next approx half hour of gameplay) I was walking around with two first aid kits, three health drink and two serums. - The story is pretty interesting, a little confusing, but not too hard to follow. - The maps are interesting to look at, occasionally easy to get lost in, but the orientation in the paper maps you get definitely helps. - Quite difficult, even with a walkthrough. - Sometimes the lighting is messy, way too dark or way too bright making it hard to see what you need to, but it's not a constant issue. Overall, a pretty decent game, just older and tricky. Be sure you turn off sticky keys because when you're spamming shift to get Alex to move out of the way, when the shortcut opens it WILL crash your game and you will lose all unsaved progress. Unsaved being all the way back to your last manual save, regardless of the small auto saves for it you die.
