Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 19 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I really wanted to like this game but after one functional play session.. all other attempted sessions afterward were buggy. I couldn't control the size of the game (even though in the first session I was able to resize it) So the game was just so big I couldn't see the bottom of it and the buttons there.. or at some point on restarting it, it was suddenly so tiny I couldn't even read it properly without straining my eyes. There was an idea behind this game.. but the poor programming is holding it back.
An extremely unique experience. There is no other game that captures the feeling this game evokes, of quietly plotting evil, spreading shadows and madness. The UI is on the jank side, and readability of the map is not always great. That being said, as the product of a solo indie developer it is an impressive work of creativity and mechanics.

Good game, but the dev released a mid DLC and then stepped away from the game and left it to the community, if it was still being worked on I would recommend it more
Dünyanın Sonu Hiç Bu Kadar Planlı Olmamıştı Shadows of Forbidden Gods, strateji türüne çok farklı bir pencereden bakan, "kötü adamı" oynamanın ötesinde gerçek bir "kukla ustası" hissi veren nadir oyunlardan biridir. Eğer ordular kurup haritayı boyadığınız klasik stratejilerden sıkıldıysanız, Shadows of Forbidden Gods size aradığınız o karanlık ve derin "manipülasyon" tecrübesini sunuyor.
Meeeehhhhh....I'll recommend this game because its like a replacement for a similar one--whose name I've forgotten, its been so long--that seemed cool on Kickstarter, but was abandoned. This game seems like an attempt to make up for that loss so I'll support it. Even so it's kinda dreary IMO, and not in a good way. The music is so lifeless and the heroes (or villains, given the game's nature) kinda generic, I was hoping each of the different dark gods would have their own, but alas. Ah, well, can't complain too much for shelling out for it and the DLC for that matter. Such is life. At least the dark gods themselves are pretty cool.
i am completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lost
The concept is interesting and I think it has a lot potential, I'd like more of that; however as-is (mid-2026) it feels like the game still needs quite some work in terms of UI/UX polishing and gameplay 'quality of life' tweaks in order to make it feel fun and less tedious. Like, it works, no immediate major issues, but a thousand small places that could use small improvements that add up.
Amazing game once you make it past the UI. Things that can help with "WTF is going on": - game is like a state machine: in the multitude of tabs you can see priorities of heroes/rulers/monsters. You can influence these priorities to get to the state you want. It's very very predictable by design - there's no secrets in the game. - it's a game about plan A/B/C and it's a true strategy game in that regard. "What happens in 10 turns" is usually not important. "What happens in 100 turns" - is. Humans usually defend well against one specific plan so you may feel like you're griding gears. But try to also come up with 2-3 angles of attack and one of them might yield surprisingly good result. - darkness is usually the easiest way to win, but each god brings their unique twist. Make sure you understand darkness before you got for something more elaborate
Kind of like civilization if you only controlled the diplomat units, but they had a MUCH larger list of things to do. Oh, and you are destroying the world.
Civ-lite-but-you're-Sauron ----------------------------- An addictive and engrossing game where you get to be the Dark God, darkening the world with your Shadow, corrupting the righteous, infiltrating society, making use of Dark secrets and powers, hiding in plain sight, and more as you slowly bring humanity to ruin while preparing for your imminent return. The immersion and vibes are greater than the sum of the parts
