Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's got such great possibilities - but nothing is Finished. And they are messing around with multiplayer without making all the mechanics work first. If I want to be forced to play with others, I'll go back to WOW or EVE. I will probably keep fiddling with it in hopes it gets better since it's a sunk cost now.
The concept of the game is really fun. As a seafarer myself the game does make sense However, I'd honestly love to see a cruise ship and river boat modes, more active NPCs as currently they just stand there and do absolutely nothing, Launchable life boats, crazier weather, bridge alarms. There's so much that can be done with this game honestly. When you complete jobs I do wish you get taken back to the port you started in as sometimes you have to sail 15 NM to get back to port with minimal fuel. It would also be fun if the containers got loaded while doing engine checks but also have the choice to load them yourself because sometimes it really gets boring loading the containers. I'd give the game a 6/10 overall and hopefully it gets better with future updates.

Wouldn't recommend this if it was free, full of bugs, from minor annoying things like keyboard controls not working in menus, through problems with not being able to move, to game breaking bugs like crashes that cancel missions with no way to continue and mission specific characters not appearing. No idea why they called it a sim, since it's an arcade and it's even bad at that, you'll spend more time loading and unloading a ship than actually steering the ship. There's also no proper save game mechanic, so you can't save the game at a known good point to revert to in case of a game breaking bug, neither have I noticed a way to start a new game

a lot of bugs
poor optimization
not a sim at all
more of a crane loading game than a ship game
no way to save, load or start a new game
more game breaking bugs
Just what you expect from a government funded game
I cannot recommend the game in it's current form. I was quite excited for this game, as I had fond memories of Fishing: North Atlantic so wanted to have some more ship based games. Well, this is not that. The "sim" in the name is a misnomer. This is very much an arcade game. Nothing about the game actual simulations a ship. The water physics are essentially absent. Engines are weird. The ship handles like you would expect of a mobile game. It is not fun. There is no challenge or interest. Maybe it will get there, but I have my doubts. Exiting early access while still very much unfinished. Trying to hide the bad experience with multiplayer rather than finishing and polishing the more basic aspects of the game. Get it only with a very large discount, if you want to spend 10 hours on a game before you get bored and wander off.
Maybe it will get better with updates but for now I don't recommend. It's very frustrating because I keep encountering situations where I can't move forward because I just don't know what the game needs me to do. There is no guidance or task list once you're out of the tutorial and I'm tired of restarting my game as I keep running up against these roadblocks. The devs need to include some kind of guidance beyond a message that you haven't completed all your tasks. Like, how about an additional message letting you know what that task is. I'm going to shelve this one for now. I will come back in a while and check comments and updates for improvement.
Optimization is super bad. On medium settings I am running 40-50 fps.... Ryzen 7 7700x 64 gb ddr5 Samsung m.2 drives 4060 ti 16 gb
Game feels rushed and absolutely confusing. With new update I went to trade to make money. Well using the normal ship halbert it said I had the wrong vessel for food containers. Doesn't tell me what ship to use or anything. Most ports dont have jobs for the ship I show up with or none at all except practice missions. Again it feels rushed just to make money versus putting your heart into a game. Graphics are awesome and driving a ship is fun but I cant seem progress despite new progression update. Needs to be user friendly. Its definitely not. Good luck of you buy it. You will likely regret it unfortunately. Ships at sea has the heart and soul its just not completed yet.
Played it for a good amount of hours. Game has potential but feels repetative and gets boring after an hour only rlly, I would wait before buying and see where the game goes with development. In specific after they went the EA route with Police Simulator: Patrol Officers, dusting off hands and saying the project is done and abandon it while leaving it in a terrible state.
This game is full of tedious tasks like locking containers, washing the deck after loading bulk cargo, and connecting manifolds on tankers. I know these jobs are part of real ship operations, but doing them repetitively is incredibly boring. Since there is a crew recruitment feature, why not let the crew handle these tasks? Sure, they are fun to try when you first start playing, but eventually, these repetitive chores take away from the game's true essence, which should be ship maneuvering and handling. Adding extreme weather settings should also be considered, as it would definitely elevate the gameplay experience. Additionally, the ship physics and movement realism need a major upgrade. Right now, the movement feels stiff and unrealistic, and the ship's speed in knots is inaccurate. Furthermore, the controls for the tugboat should utilize both the left and right analog sticks, rather than relying on just the left stick assisted by the RB/LB bumpers. The developers really need to consider adding the freedom to custom map the controller.
Having to manually load the ship is extremely annoying. I've never heard of a ship captain that has to operate the crane to load his own ship! Let us skip this tedious minigame! All the maintenance to the ship should likewise be delegate to the crew on larger vessels. I can't really recommend the game in it's current state but I see enought potential that I will check back into this game in a few months to see how it is doing.
