Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 31.43/day in the week to Aug 20 → 57/day in the week after.
One market had a chart position on both sides of this cut. One sale in one country is an anecdote — read it next to the store-wide figures below.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.

Great game however I would encourage SCS to also focus on simple things that would make gameplay more fun; for example decoupling and coupling of trailers manually, refueling, seeing your company trucks on the road, carwash, pedestrians crossing roads in towns; would make the game feel more alive

Cortisol destroyer. Most relaxing game. Can't wait for the Indiana lot lizard DLC
This is the most relaxing game i ever played on steam. This game is realistic and open world your a truck driver delivery cargo across the USA and going through the states like in real life 10/10 game.
If you're not able to get out on a road trip but you crave it this is about as close as you can get! Very chill & relaxing.
**American Truck Simulator is relaxing, but it is starting to feel old, empty, and way too limited.** I like the idea of this game. Driving across America in a semi truck should feel immersive, heavy, realistic, and alive. But after playing for a while, the game starts to feel more like a pretty road map with trucks than a real trucking simulator. The biggest problem is that the world feels dead. Cities, truck stops, warehouses, rest areas, and gas stations barely feel alive. There are no real pedestrians, no workers loading trailers, no people walking around truck stops, no mechanics, no shipping office interaction, no dock activity, and no real sense that you are part of a working trucking industry. You drive from point A to point B, park the trailer, and repeat. The map keeps getting bigger, but the gameplay itself does not feel much deeper. The game badly needs a real first-person walk-around system. Let us get out of the truck. Let us inspect tires, open the hood, check oil and coolant, connect air lines, inspect trailer lights, raise or lower landing gear, check straps and cargo, and do an actual pre-trip inspection. Add flat tires, mechanical failures, air brake problems, overheating, roadside breakdowns, and real consequences for ignoring maintenance. That would make the game feel like trucking, not just steering a truck down the highway. Another frustrating issue is owning your own trailer. In real life, owning equipment should matter. If I buy and maintain my own trailer, I should have a clear financial advantage over just pulling company trailers. But in ATS, owning a personal trailer often does not feel rewarding enough. Sometimes it feels like you are spending money on a trailer just to roleplay, without a meaningful increase in profit. That makes the ownership system feel shallow. If the game wants to simulate trucking, owning your truck and trailer should open better-paying loads, more control, better contracts, and a stronger business progression system. The graphics are also starting to show their age. Some areas look nice, especially newer DLC states, but the game still feels outdated in lighting, textures, cities, AI behavior, and world detail. A new state or another truck does not fix the fact that the world feels static. There needs to be more life, more movement, more realism, and more interaction. Traffic also needs serious work. AI vehicles still behave too predictably, too stupidly, or too lifeless. Real roads have impatient drivers, distracted drivers, aggressive merging, traffic jams, construction delays, accidents, police activity, and unpredictable situations. ATS has some traffic, but it rarely feels like a real living road system. The economy is another weak point. You can make money too easily, buy trucks too fast, and build a company without much struggle. Fuel prices, maintenance, insurance, repairs, tire wear, driver management, trailer ownership, and operating costs should matter more. Trucking is not just driving — it is managing risk, time, equipment, money, and responsibility. SCS keeps adding map expansions, paint packs, and new trucks, but the game needs a serious realism update. More roads are nice, but they do not solve the core issue: the game feels empty. I do not want just another state. I want a deeper trucking simulator. Give us truck-life mechanics. Give us real inspections. Give us breakdowns. Give us people. Give us interactive depots. Give us realistic traffic. Give us better graphics. Give us a reason to care about the truck and trailer beyond paint, horsepower, and miles. American Truck Simulator has a great foundation, but it needs to evolve. Right now, it feels like a relaxing driving game with trucking elements. It could be one of the best simulators ever made if SCS actually focused on realism, immersion, and making the world feel alive.
Game is excellent and is getting better and better with every new update and dlc!
The game is great, but having to pay $100 to unlock the map past AZ & CA is ridiculous. It's called American truck simulator, so it's stupid that you have to pay extra to unlock the rest of America. Greedy developers.
Lots of lizards and lots of fun! Ignore the burning, and the smell you will be fine! HIGHLY RECOMEND!!!
• American Dream…
J’ai toujours rêvé de faire un road trip aux États-Unis. En attendant de traverser la Route 66 pour de vrai, American Truck Simulator m’a confié un vieux camion d’occasion, une remorque et des centaines de kilomètres d’asphalte. Finalement… ça me va très bien.
