Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Recently 100%-ed the game. What can I say, this is a gem of a game. I've never played a first person shooter which is also tower defence game before playing this game. For a game released in 2013, the graphics holds up pretty well in 2025. There is still a small die-hard population still playing this game. I met some good people from the the public games. The main game has 4 stages. Each stage has 4 levels each. So the game can be a little short. I recommend you to pick up the DLC's. Especially, because there are some towers/weapons only available (unlocked) via the DLC's. And these towers increase the fun. I would recommend anyone wanting to play this game to pick up the game and DLC's on sale. I paid less than £5 on a sale and got hours worth of fun. Coffee Stain Studios... it's time you gave the people Sanctum 3
Awesome tower defense that still holds up 11 years later

A game sadly surpassed by time. My biggest problem is probably the shooting. The weapons don't feel like they provide any impact, although I really enjoyed the passive reload, which makes weapon switching and using all your guns to their fullest capability a necessity. Shooting at an enemy for 2 minutes and then seeing him collapse is just not really satisfying though. The tower defense mechanics were good, you create paths for the enemies to walk through and build towers on top of the walls. They can be upgraded and all serve useful and sometimes less useful purposes. The most fun I had was when I unlocked the perk Plumber Shoes, which allowed me to bounce on enemies and deal massive damage, bull riding bigger foes till they collapsed without touching the ground. An issue is the fact that the game is, thanks to a bug, fps locked at 33, requiring tinkering with the .ini files to work around that. With a guide it's possible though.
Phenomenal game, now make a 3rd one
Recently went back to play this game I loved it as a kid, and man, it still holds up! Pro tip: if you edit the engine.ini file in your Documents folder to uncap the frame rate, the game runs at 400-500 fps, and it feels so much smoother. It really makes a difference. The music, atmosphere, graphics, and strategy are still as good as I remember and still to this day are just as impressive and immersive feels like a weird fusion of Mirrors Edge and Destiny 2 in terms of vibes and i love it. Don’t listen to the negative review not sure whats up with that guy that just posted one – the real strategy isn’t just in the turrets. It’s all about how you build your maze along with the turrets then the class and perks you have. There’s a lot more depth to it than people might think. If you haven't played Sanctum 2 yet, or it’s been a while, you should definitely check it out. It’s like if Destiny 2 and Dungeon Defenders had a baby. Multiple classes, different towers to unlock, a bunch of difficulty levels, and tons of progression. Plus, it’s multiplayer, so it’s a blast with friends. Honestly, if they made a third game, I think it could blow up. Imagine bigger maps, a deeper campaign, more class/build options, and maybe even a skill tree. Turrets could get even better too. There’s so much room for improvement, but even as it is, it’s awesome. In conclusion just set it to max graphics, uncap the fps in the ini file, tweak the keybinds a bit, buy all the dlc just to have all the content (more turrets, classes, perks, maps.) and you’re good to go. More people need to be playing this game – it’s a hidden gem with well over 25 hours of content!
More freedom to build however you want, a greater selection of weapons, new abilities, and a whole host of enemies to ruin your day! It does require you to take a more pro-active role than the first game, which some find detrimental. I'd still recommend it.
This is literally my number one most favorite game of all time. The game works wonderfully on my windows machine and on my Linux machine with proton, the game looks great and all the small changes they made between Sanctum 1 and 2 add up to more than enough to make the game feel fresh. Weapon upgrades are out in favor of COD style perks, except they're actually fun and interesting perks. Tower bases are reworked into it's own currency separate from money, players have health that regenerates instead of being indestructible, which also introduces new enemies that focus the player rather than the core you're defending to keep some of the levels fresh. Teleports are gone in favor of actually moving your character, difficulty isn't a slider like most games and instead has optional toggles like the halo skulls, towers can be "overcharged" and upgraded beyond max level. And most importantly you can actually swap characters, there's four in the base game and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ fifth in the DLC, but they have both unique weapons and passive abilities that change how they interact with each weapon adding a TON of build diversity to the game These small changes and the fact that there's no goals for "perfect 0 damage" runs make the game an absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blast to play and to 100% regardless of which level or gamemode you're playing. (except maybe that one DLC level) If you catch this game on sale for under $10 and even remotely enjoy either tower defense games or first person shooters you will not regret this at all. The same is also true with the expansion pass, what a fantastic value it was getting that on sale for $3.
Sanctum was a Tower Defence game played from a first person perspective. Shooting was an edge, not the focus; it provided leeway for sub-optimum tower positioning, similar to Orcs Must Die 1. Sanctum had co-op, it was a bonus, not the focus. Sanctum 2 is a Tower Defence game in the same way that Sekiro is a Stealth game, by which I mean it is not. Sanctum 2 is a First Person Shooter in the vein of Redneck Rampage or the forced FPS section in Conker's Bad Fur Day, by which I mean it is bad. Sanctum 2 can be played in Single Player in the same sense that I can 'play' on an empty Counter-Strike: Source server by myself. Sanctum 2 is not a sequel in the conventional sense, it does not expand or improve on anything from the first game, it is a blank slate redevelopment being pulled in three directions and doing each one poorly. Save your money, if you're desperate for more Sanctum then buy Super Sanctum TD instead.
