Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

One of the games ever made. 10/10 would defend a tower again.
GG
In the rather small genre of tower defense games, Sanctum 2 is definitely a top contender. It's one of those games that I come back to with friends every so often because it's fun enough to have that kind of replayability. I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for a very good 3D tower defense game.
Crazy to find out that Sanctum 2 was created by the same developers behind Goat Simulator, arguably patient zero for the streamerslop genre, you know the type: games of which the value is entirely defined by how much seal clapping the mass-produced surrogate big brothers/fathers of lost youth are doing on the bottom right corner of a Twitch livestream. You'd never think a team of actually quite competent people would be behind a game like that. Sanctum 2 is an interesting mix of FPS and tower defender, two genres that i really do like but i'm terrible at. You can pick between 4 characters with well distinct playstyles, that can be equipped with a vast array of weapons and perks to customize your experience, unlocking them through a leveling system akin to your run of the mill RPG. Lots of tower variety too, featuring not only destructive ones, but also many that grant more passive or utility-based bonuses. My preferred set-up involved picking the guy with the shotgun, placing a lot of towers that slow down the enemies and kill as many of them myself as i can get away with, far from the most optimal approach but it's pretty fun for what it is. You can tell that this is an older game because the futuristic aesthetics look cool and unpractical rather than the boring and slightly less unpractical affair that you get to see in more modern stuff, decent character design for the evil critters you're tasked to blow into pieces too, nothing that's gonna stick in your mind for too long and certain animations leave a bit to be desired, but overall it's a solid package. I also love the artstyle used for the character sprites and the comic book illustrations in-between level transitions, distinctly european if that makes any sense to anyone who's into reading comics from that geographical area, even though the story itself is nothing to write home about, immediate influence of the game's multiplayer prioritization. The voice acting was clearly made by people whose first language isn't english and while that may sound like a criticism i find there's something really charming about their swedish accent seeping through. The music doesn't leave much of an impression, both because it's covered up by the sound of every thing under the sun exploding and also because it's not as upbeat as a game of this kind would demand. There's a clear emphasis all over the game's presentation and framing on online co-op, defaulting you to letting other people join your maps and having a lot of the smaller mechanics be tweaked towards that specific type of gameplay, with some of the later maps becoming quite difficult to tackle on your own, even with the enemy health bar getting adjusted to be less spongy on single player. I played Sanctum 2 for a few hours twice many years apart, and in both instances i got walled by the same map. Maybe i could have moved past it if i was willing to play co-op with strangers, as to my surprise there's still people playing the game to this day, but i get too self conscious when i'm having to collaborate with others as opposed to when my incompetence isn't an active hinderance on online play, silly as that may sound, and i play even worse as a result. To defend myself from the well deserved scrub allegations, i got to that map a lot faster my second go-around.
big fun in coop
