Good game, dood

Needs a remake after 2 decades

I finally got around to playing Resident Evil Remake Remaster, and I had an absolute blast. It's amazing how well this game has aged. The atmosphere is incredible, the puzzles are [sorta] fun, and the Spencer Mansion is one great setting to be explored in a game. My biggest enemy wasn't even the zombies, but the fixed camera angles. I'm so used to modern controls that they got me in trouble more than once. It definitely took some getting used to, but after a while I started to appreciate how much they add to the tension. Overall, I loved [i]almost[/i] every minute of it. Just gonna say I'm terrified of spiders lol. If you've never played it, it's absolutely worth experiencing.

A very competent game which lays the groundwork for resident evil and survival horror as a whole. I don't feel like it holds up as much as I was hoping, it can be a little boring sometimes, a lot of the game is just walking around avoiding zombies and doing very simple puzzles, the horror of it all feels a little too understated, and the stars members could use a little more personality. But it's overall fun and interesting, the best part of the story is definitely inferences about what's happening and the notes, this game excels best in implying. The Lisa subplot added for the remake is super neat, but I also do wish she was a little more prevalent, I feel like she's kinda forgettable in the gameplay even if her story is nice. Despite all of the negatives I do love the stars team in this game and I should also say I haven't played Chris yet, as this game has two playthroughs with stories that are a little different. (which makes me wonder if needing to do that left less budget for each playthrough). I'd recommend it simply because there is a game to be loved and it's cool to see the origins of this awesome series, I'll have to update this review after playing Chris eventually and the original Resident Evil and see if that changes my perspective of this game.

This review is for an old friend that i needed to cut ties with because he is yet another insufferable millenial gamer (my age too btw) that literally cannot stand other peoples' opinions on older video games, so he decided to treat me like garbage over a stupid video game, so here I am giving it a negative review just to appease him! This game has aged like literal milk. Tank controls ACTUALLY being better because camera views on modern controls are so bad, and tank controls are already absolutely awful in 2026. Barely ANY inventory compared to later games makes me JUST wanna play later games. If i were to make a tier list, this game would be almost at the very bottom, with only Resident Evil 6 being the only worst one. Nostalgia-blinded gamers: get over yourselves, literally every other RE is better than this, lmao. Game aged horribly, one gets lost ALL the time, very limited saves is genuinely such a stupid concept to me, etc...

Atmosfer olsun hikaye olsun canavarlar olsun muazzam bir oyun serinin diğer oyunlarına kıyasla çok farklı ama tamamen iyi yönde bir farklılık, eski olması nedeniyle kontrollerde biraz sıkıntı yaşıyorsunuz ama bir kere alıştınız mı gerçekten eğlenirken buluyorsunuz kendinizi. Harita olsun bi kaç sıkıntısı var ama eski olmasından tamamen ona rağmen çok rahatsız etmiyo pek haritaya bakmıyorsunuz zaten ama bence en büyük sıkıntısı save save noktaları çok uzakta oluyor ve bulsanız bile save almak için mürekkep lazım oluyor hele ki ilk başlarda kontroller nediyle öldünüz mü yandınız tüm ilerlemeniz gitmiş oluyor en büyük sıkıntısı bu bence özellikle ben gereğinden fazla save alan ve garantiye almak istediğimden çok sıkıntı çektim. Yinede herşeyi ile muazzam bir oyun, hikayesi bence en sürükleyici oyunlardan biri RE için, indirimli fiyatıyla alınmaya değer olduğunu düşünüyorum.
